A Big Job and Some Questions...

Let that door close ever so softly. Open it back up once in a while to see where he's at on getting them done. Try to get him to have the worst one done in the meantime so he has something in which to gauge the quality of your offering with. Good luck!!

how would you do these windows?

+1 on the CeriGlass. I have to deal with windows that are often worse than that. I used to compound with M-105 which can take a long time on the bad ones. I bought CeriGlass and kicked myself for not buying it sooner.

    Wheel stains

An OTC wheel cleaner like suggested above should clean them right up. Spray on, dwell for a few minutes, keep wet, agitate with brush, keep wet, rinse thoroughly then wash with your regular car wash mixture. Did I mention that you should keep the wheel wet with cleaner the entire time you work...

    Pinstriping removal

Razor blade is not a good idea. If it's coming off with your thumb nail then lacquer thinner will most likely wipe it away very easily with zero chance of scratching. If you get a slight haze from the thinner just follow it with a light polish. Using a razor blade is jumping to the most...

    Oxidation Help

Two words....Test Spot. These SS white Toyotas are typically fairly easy to get a shine back on them but difficult to correct because of how hard the titanium dioxide pigment makes the paint. I'd use a foam light cutting pad and an all in one product like Evan suggested and call it a day. Be...

A lot of bike owners are aware of these dangerous areas where pressurized water can enter wheel bearings, (blowing past seals) ignition / electrical areas...

A Big Job and Some Questions...

There would be a few questions for you like, Do you have any competition in your area that could / would underbid you on this work? Are you an exclusive detailer for this client already? Does he come to you through direct knowledge of the quality of work you bring to the table? Can you bring...

A Big Job and Some Questions...

Depending on the year of the Vettes and the Caddy's you could be dealing with some really hard clear coat that could take lots of time to correct and finish. Given the cost of having a coating applied, which is all over the place in different markets, the surgical cleanliness necessary to...

    Etched clear coat. Help

I normally can't find finer than 2000 grit at some of the listed retailers. This could be different geographically though. If you can't find 3000 grit at those places, look for an auto body supply business in your area. They'll have it and finer I'm sure. Or of course you could order it from the...
