Best paint sealant ti use during winter

I've heard nothing but great things about Collinite #845, though I've never tried it. Description says protection up to 5 months, even for non garaged vehicles. Also check out Collinite #476. Also these aren't sealants sorry, but they are products that should last a winter.

After the final coat of wax?

Sounds like you're applying your wax to thick. What everyone is saying is 12 hours after you do your initial removal use a spray wax/quick detailer to make sure the wax has properly bonded. Though you really shouldn't have to, just apply very thin even amounts of wax and use heavy swipes...

    DP Poli Coat

Just went outside to say goodbye, and gave the car a final back hand swipe and to my surprise the car felt a lot slicker. Not as slick as the previous mentioned sealants, but much nicer than earlier...wonder if it just needed time to cure?

How many LSP's do you & what are they?

I couldn't agree with that more, a little goes a VERY long way. This picture is after 3 uses on my entire car. Also I'm excited about what you say regarding Supernatural Wax...haven't got a chance to try mine out yet, but I'm very excited.

    DP Poli Coat

Does it have cleaning properties? I wasn't aware thank you. It was real easy to apply. At first I was doubtful it would be because how thick it is, but prepped the pad and applied as needed. In the first pic you can see just how thinly it went on. At the end I barely used much, and if...

    DP Poli Coat

Don't hesitate especially with the low prices right now...typically I'd say wait for durability tests, but Matt@autogeek already did months of testing and said durability is great. I would have liked it to be a bit slicker feeling though, but in fairness to the sealant the 5 series needs to be...

    Whether it's safe or not...

Really? I haven't noticed that, though I've only used it twice. Maybe this occurs after repetitive use? I see many detailers on here and other Forums recommending, and using Dawn to wash, remove and prep the paint surface.

    Whether it's safe or not...

Removed almost, if not all traces of the month old Power Lock I applied to a car a little over a month ago. I foamed the car down with dawn, then two bucket washed it with dawn.

    DP Poli Coat

So it's been a little over a month and me having a horrible LSP problem/addiction I decided to remove the Menzerna Power Lock and apply some new DP Poli-Coat to S4Babe's BMW 535xi. I washed with Dawn to remove the Power Lock (Which was still holding up well) and applied the DP. Notes about...

    Wax streaks

Polishing with a Buffer/DA? If so you should always do an IPA wipe down to before any LSP to make sure you get all the polishing oils off of the car. I don't know if thats what could be causing the streaking, but if it doesn't happen after a simple wash, it probably is.

Measuring the correct amount of soap

Thanks Shane...I am like you, and probably waste a lot of soap in the process. I'd imagine for the extra lazy they could just drop the little cup under the girt guard haha...though that may cause a few specks of dirt to stay floating
