Favorite Spray Wax .... How, Why, Uses ??

I love Turtle Wax ICE as well. My favourite is actually XMT 360 spray wax. The slickness lasts a long time for me in my experiences. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using AG Online

    alternative to swirl/scratch remover???

You and I were watching the same episode at the same time! If you looked closely though, it didn't actually remove them. You could still see some faint buffer trails in the sun when he moved the panel. I think the powder just helped hide the trails. Better just to use swirl remover and level...

    Wow

OMG, I couldn't stop laughing and cringing at the same time. I felt so bad for that car. The guy is so damn confident that he's a total pro at what he's doing. I had no words to say after watching this video.

Review: Mothers Step 1 Pure Polish/Pre-Wax Cleaner

Hello fellow AGers. I had just recently completed a review on the Mothers pre-wax cleaner from the California Gold line. All in all, I felt the product did much of what I was expecting out of it. It cleaned and prepped the surface for accepting glaze, and my LSP. I had used a white CCS...

Anyone heard of Zurich Shield before?

Hello my fellow AGers, I was curious if you guys knew anything about this new 'coating' called Zurich Shield. My friend had just got a used 2007 Mercedes CLK from the dealership and they offered her a better finance deal if she chose to have that Zurich Shield coating installed. I told her...

    Waxing in the sun

I just used Collinite 845 this past Sunday on a white 2007 Honda Ridgeline. No shade for me and it was about 11am and high 80's here in the Bay Area in California. Machine applied and wiped off without a hitch. The panels weren't too hot as it was white paint, not black or another darker...

    2007 Honda Ridgeline Detail

Thank you. That job actually took me a couple of days all together. The owner was out of town and left the truck with me for the week. I took probably more than 10 hours because I was just taking my time, no rush for anything. I just made sure to make it look brand spankin' new. TW ICE gave...

    2007 Honda Ridgeline Detail

This was a project that was special for me and special for the owner. The truck belong to the owner's father who was living in Texas and recently passed away. He flew to Texas and brought the Ridgeline back to the Bay Area here in Hercules where I live. He's a weekly customer with his wife...

Detailing my first Chevy tomorrow (2012 Chevy Cruze)

Well, my normal routine would be that orange pad with Ultimate Compound and then M205. I just like UC because it doesn't put out as much dust. About my Cruze, personally, it sits outside 24/7 and in my neighborhood, we get so much dust and pollution from the two freeways behind my home. No...

Detailing my first Chevy tomorrow (2012 Chevy Cruze)

I've only tried M205 with it when I first got it using a PC7424XP and a white polishing pad. I got only a very slight correction because I was a NOOB when I did that and went at too slow a speed to make much of any correction. The hood is a bit flimsy if you press down too hard when doing a...

Detailing my first Chevy tomorrow (2012 Chevy Cruze)

Be careful with the RS badges on the doors if it is the Rally Sport model. I used the Master Blaster on my own Cruze and the red sticker on the badge came off. Once the sticker bends, it won't go back on. Just be careful about that. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using AG Online

Anyone try topping Meg's NXT 2.0 with a Carnauba Wax?

Sorry I meant it was jet black with clear coat. Parts of the car have actually been repainted because prior to our purchase, it had been in an accident or two. The hood that I was having problems on is original paint. I'm pretty sure of that because the repainted parts have heavy orange peel.

Anyone try topping Meg's NXT 2.0 with a Carnauba Wax?

When I did the topping, I waited almost one day. I'm wondering if maybe the Mothers pure Carnauba just doesn't like being on top of XMT. Last time I topped a sealant, it was Klasse sealant after the AIO.

Anyone try topping Meg's NXT 2.0 with a Carnauba Wax?

Hey there Auto Geekers, Have any of you tried using NXT as the sealant and topped with a Nuba? I tried it with Mothers as the topper using their step 3 pure nuba and what I got was a mess. The paint looked all hazy and greasy, not to mention, wiping it wouldn't remove the greasy stuff...

    Micromarring with FLEX 3401

I tried the FLEX on speeds 4, 5, and 6 on different panels. Same results. I always lessen the pressure to try and jewel on the last two passes. Seems like a few of you are saying the hybrid pads will work better with the FLEX huh? Also, I'm having some weird uneven areas on the hood after...

    Micromarring with FLEX 3401

I used 6 section passes with M205 on the white CCS pad and used pretty much the same amount of polish on the pad as I did last time when I used the PC only. This is a used 2003 Mercedes that we got in 2006 and I think we are 2nd owner of the car. I've only polished the car once in the time...

    Micromarring with FLEX 3401

Hey guys & girls reading this. Any of you have any experience with using the FLEX 3401 and getting micromarring no matter which pads are used? I was working on a 2003 Mercedes E320 with black paint which was filled with swirls and some RIDS. I started out with the FLEX using some LC CCS...
