It really does. I use it on a lot of customer cars as well as my own.

I personally use a product that is easy to use and cost effective so that I really never have to worry about it. I will seal my paint and then top it with Optimum Car Wax. Then every other wash or so just apply some more OCW since it only takes a few moments. Something is always there then.

I used Optimum Car Wax immediately after receiving my car back from the shop in 2014. Paint was baked. I had absolutely zero issues and was happy to have some sort of protection since it was the winter.

It really has nothing to do with the wax itself but rather the static electricity from the towels. It happens. Honestly, you're going to get dust on it no matter what. I don't think stressing over it is worth your time.
