Awesome! i absolutely hate chrome so my rig has a tonne of plastidip. only downside is trying to clean it. i didn't even think of trying OPC.

Couldn't agree more. If I were any more careful with my rig it would have to be parked in a vacuum wrapped in the worlds finest microfibre. The bottom line is that soft black paint is IMPOSSIBLE to keep perfect in real world situations unless you dedicate your life to paint maintenance...

As the old saying goes, "black isn't a color, it's a full time job". Different paint systems will react differently, and as such no one can say for sure how your rig will look in the spring. The best you can do is try to keep it as clean as possible and deal with the mess come spring...

I've seen a wheel cleaning post by Mike that shows him using iron x. I recently ordered some & it seems to work well, but lord it is stinky.

How did you get in around the brush guard? Was it removed? Nice job btw.

Is your rig black? I've yet to find any MF that doesn't lint out on my truck. I have everything from costco, to cobra and have yet to find a lint free MF for my black rig. Its funny though that I don't notice the lint on any other colors.

Mike...thanks so much. I just wonder how anyone would ever be able to buff around that kind of stuff...especially when you get small gaps between thin pinstripping. I don't think I'd ever do that to a rig, but curious in case I ever encounter this. Thanks again!

I notice that the buffer was run right over the pin striping. Is this usually safe to do?

I feel your pain! I've tried everything aside from the Meguiars tape and always end up with tape glue everywhere. I use odorless mineral spirits for clean up, but it is super annoying none the less.

I may have to get a friends beater and hire him to see what is actually offered. Again, not knocking the guy, but I feel anyone is more valuable than that! Seems it may just be less hassle to keep my detailing bug to friends and family....

I'm not knocking the guy at all. More power to him if that's what works for him. I'm just appalled someone would feel they are worth so little! Plus he is mobile & has to factor in fuel which at $ 1.33/liter ain't cheap!
