    Boat Bottom

Not sure if its old wives tale or not but, I have heard you should not wax the bottom of your boat if you want speed as it will cause additional drag. Supposedly its better to have the water stick to the bottom not bead off it because thereticly there is less friction between the layer of water...

    How do you relax .......

My daily relax time is usually taking a walk or just sitting on the porch or couch with my little buddy Oscar (7 pound yorkie). Take a ride in my car off hours when the roads are quite and enjoyable. Early in the day or early or late in the season when the ponds are actually quite I can relax...

    Scott shop towels..

I have them in my home garage and my cars. I use them instead of shop rags in the garage. In my cars I like them for blowing my nose as I have horrible allergies and near constant runny nose they don't lint when I do my fog horn impression which keeps the inside my car much less dusty.

What is the true durability of hydro2?

I can get close to 12 months from my garage queen if I use aquawax as a drying aid. but my daily driver gets 2-4 months depending on the time of year and harshness of the weather. During winter with lots snow storms and very salty roads 2 months is pretty good.

    Very disappointed in Meguiar's D149

I think I have a bad gallon also. I usually spray my towel then wipe interior just a whiff from the spray and you choke a bit like you would from opening a bottle of bleach or other very strong chemical. Has a bit of a burn to it as you breath any where near it. Seems to Work just fine hope its...

CarPro Hydro2 vs Hydro2 Lite - cost difference

Yeah I think H2L is closer to H2 at 5:1 or 6:1. I have heard of guys using H2 at those dilutions as a spray and wipe.

D151 on a boat with MF pads

Wont hurt to try, if the stripe is decal (vinyl) may or may not work that's more touchy stuff be careful (burns/melts quickly). If its gel coat strip that may be a good starting point may need to go more aggressive if it doesn't work gel coat is very tough stuff.

AIO's never get any love, but...

I like D151 because the gallon is cheap and it has enough cut to remove pretty much all the swirls and remove or smooth over the edges enough of the deep RIDS to make them way less noticeable.

    Melted backing plate

Disclaimer I AM NOT A PRO AT ALL NEWBIE HERE, I have collapssed a few pads in the center my self. I think I also are getting to much heat from using to much product and also from using the wrong product/pad for the job. To many passes with to much pressure and to slow trying to get full...
