D151 on a boat with MF pads

Hey guys, I have a friend that has a boat and wants to know if I can detail it for him. I don't think he wants much more than to get the oxidation off a blue 12" stripe down the hull.

I have never touched a boat. I have only worked on cars. I have a GG DA, MF pads, and various foam pads.

My question is can I use D151 and a MF pad or do I need special boat products?

Wont hurt to try, if the stripe is decal (vinyl) may or may not work that's more touchy stuff be careful (burns/melts quickly). If its gel coat strip that may be a good starting point may need to go more aggressive if it doesn't work gel coat is very tough stuff.

I use D151 / MF pads on gel-coat all the time with very good results. Do be careful around decals especially if the edges are already starting to lift. If they in good shape, just let up on the pressure over the decals, they will clean up nicely.
