    Microfiber towels?

If it passes the cd test, it's good to go. It's not going to scratch paint if it can't leave a mark on a cd.

How to hide small cracks/checks in paint? Turtle Wax Color Cure equivalent?

I just purchased a bottle of TW Color Cure from Advanced Auto. Saw it at O'Reily's,and other places, too. Dupli-Color used to market a similar product named "Color Wax". Most on this forum won't admit to using TW products.

Durability and protection with Collonite 845 during winter season

I've only been able to wash my car twice this winter! My black car looks like it was sprayed with white spray paint. The salt is thickly coated over the 845. If the temperature ever gets above freezing here in Cleveland, I'll wash off the crud with warm soapy water (and the warm water will...

    Microfiber towels?

I take a CD into the store and "test" the cloth. The most recent in-store test was at Auto Zone, which passed. Even if a cheap thin cloth passes the test, I buy it. I found a surprise stock of great microfiber towels and wash mitts at a closeout retailer called Tuesday Morning. Picked up a...

    what pads does everyone like?

For me, flat and thick, any size, any color Lake Country. The "ultra-fine" European foam pads are a waste of money as far as I'm concerned. They are OK if you want to spend more time to get the same results a thicker pad will give you. Like if you want to spend more time in the garage away...

any way to remove this big scratch?

Clean the scratch and area immediately surrounding the scratch, and wipe with alcohol. Then, carefully "fill" the scratch with paint. If not with the product mentioned above, then with DupliColor "scratch fix". Carefully apply in layers, letting each coat to dry. When you finally can feel a...

How long does a wax last in its container?

If I ever figure out how to use a digital camera for uploading purposes, I'll post a pic of my collection of products that begins in the 50's. Lids on tight, kept in my basement, all usable today.

    Need A Spray Wax...Any Recommendations?

I use AW as a "booster" wax, after each wash or so. I use it over Collinite, usually, which is the LSP I get my durability from. The environmental elements and the next wash degrade the AW - not the Collinite. And the AW keeps the surface looking great in the meantime.

Review: Duragloss 901 car wash and AquaWax

Excellent review and very well written. However, I'm left with the understanding (or misunderstanding) that the 901 wash removed some of the wax along with the dirt, and the AW is getting the blame for "flattening" the previous glow.

    Getting ready for winter.

If anyone still has a Meguire's Versa-Angle body brush (long discontinued item), its great for removing snow in lieu of those stiff bristled snow brushes. The handle broke on mine!

remove scratches from black honda civic

Right! Do a search. Before you do, run your finger nails across the scratch. If a nail catches, or you can feel the scratch with your nail, then the scratch is deeper than you thought. Your search will turn up loads of information on how to deal with a deep scratch as well.
