    Claying a black car.

Black Honda Accord; Meg's Mild clay bar with ONR/water as clay lube. Poorboy's Professional Polish made quick work of whatever marring was left behind.

    Question on Poorboys

I like the sealant and have a coat on my car now. I topped that with Collinite #845, but the look is fantastic. Can't speak to longevity since it's only been 2 weeks, but the car still feels great. I have Natty's, have used it once before and liked it, but that was it prior to the...

comparison chart of polishes and compounds

Question about Poorboys looking at the comparo chart... Is it accurate that SSR1 has less cut than Poorboy's Professional Polish?

    Paint Quality?

Nice. I think it has more to do with the clearcoats than the paint that's underneathe. Aside from that, I really just wanted to applaud the reference. Give a call, we'll talk, no big whoop.

    Meguiars or Menzerna?

truckbutt is a poster here and just did a thread about getting the swirls out of his 2011 Black Mustang, and I think he used Blackfire as well...give it a search and check it out...there's probably some additional information in there as well.

    Happy Friday!!!

I'll be listening to the bloodshed from the driveway of a friend's house...got permission to use their car as a guinea pig on Sunday. Saturday is a wash/recharge of the shine from last weekend on my car, and I may wash the folks' cars for them too. My old man used to have a 1988 Lincoln Town...

    OK to leave 845 on?

Ditto :xyxthumbs: By hand using the yellow foam pads (actually on sale right now). The cleaner/smoother the surface, the easier it is to use. I literally used 3 drops...one...two...three...and got to waxing. On a 2008 Accord, 3 drops would cover the trunk lid, the back of the car and the...

    Shopping Cart Help, please?

Ooo...I like this spending other peoples' money thing! I personally like having Optimum No Rinse around. I think I mentioned in the other thread that it helps since I don't have a hose, so I can wash a car with just two buckets of water. It's going to be clutch this winter when I can just...

Hey! What do you use to get it so shiny?

I had to laugh the other day because I thought of this thread title. So I spent the morning / afternoon at my folks' place helping out around the house and eventually, detailing my own car. It took most of the afternoon...wash, clay, polish, glaze, seal, etc. So I get back to my place and...

Quick Poorboy's World Swirl Removers question

Bumping this in hopes it's spotted. BTW...it's raining here today and the car looks awesome. I can't wait to hit the brakes hard and watch 5 gallons of water race off of my roof and hood. :D

Nice...added. Ever listen to Red Fang Big Al? RED FANG - "Prehistoric Dog" - YouTube "Prehistoric Dog"--Red Fang Them Crooked Vultures are pretty rad too IMO... [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S7_vH3H8LPI]New Fang - YouTube[/video] ..."New Fang"--by TCV

Bringing home brand new car..what now?

Protect your wheels too with something like Collinite. Everything I hear is that BMW's produce brake dust like they're paid to do it. A coating of wax on your rims will make washing them a lot easier. Congrats on a new car! :xyxthumbs:

    Just acquired '10 Honda and

Nice...congrats on picking up new wheels. There are a couple of Honda owners on here, and we'll all tell you that paint is delicate. I was just talking about it over the weekend about how if I could do it again, I would've gotten a car-bra for my car. I do anything from 40-60k miles a...

Hello all new guy from Philly

I've taken up kayaking on Sundays.:surrender: Guess I left that out. I wash with Meguiar's Gold Class shampoo and a nice, soft mitt. I use two buckets--a method taught and sworn-by by the entire Autogeek community--one for washing, one for rinsing the mitt...can't be dragging dirt back...

Hello all new guy from Philly

Welcome aboard! First and foremost, I have a 2008 Honda Accord, and unless they did anything to change the paint or clearcoat, they can swirl rather easily. Automatic carwashes (:nomore:), dirty towels/sponges or anything else left to touch the paint in more than a friendly pat will leave...

Quick Poorboy's World Swirl Removers question

Hope you don't mind my reviving an old thread Pockets... I hit my 2008 Honda Accord this weekend with the PBs arsenal. I started with the Professional Polish and did a test spot with a microfiber pad by hand. I noticed it hologrammed a LOT, so I stepped down through the different pads I had...

What did you do for fun today?

I watched the Phils...:awman: Then I watched the Eagles...:help: And even though I did catch a Notre Dame win, it's just not the same. Washed, clayed, polished, glazed, sealed, #845'ed my Accord and changed her oil, oil filter and air filter...I can tell she's happy. A little golf...
