    New car = blotchy dash

Update: Last night I cleaned with Dash Away (it cleans very well), and applied Natural Look liberally. I rubbed it in real well, and let it sit for ~30 mins. I then buffed with a MF. This morning it looks worse -- blotchy, and some shiny streaks. I think I put too much product on? I will...

    New car = blotchy dash

Yes -- Lincoln's fancy Fusion. :) Thanks for your suggestions everyone. I haven't tried letting it soak in for more than a few seconds. I'll apply some Natural Look with a foam brush, and let it soak for 30-60 minutes. It does seem to get slightly better with each application, but every...

    New car = blotchy dash

It's actually the vertical piece in front of passenger (passenger airbag area) which looks the most blotchy. The actual top of dash looks OK.

I watched recorded 2 hours of "Bachelor" instead. (Yes -- it's that bad.)

    New car = blotchy dash

I recently bought a new MKZ, that had sat on the dealer's lot for over 1 year. Needless to say, the inside and out needed some minor attention and protection. The dash is dark gray. I have treated it with Surf City Dash Away, PB's Natural Look, and Megs Natural Shine. It still looks blotchy...

    Duragloss Total Performance Polish

I've always applied by hand, but I have no alternative. It works well either way. If your paint is smooth, it works well as a stand-alone. I apply to whole car, and then start buffing (removing) where I started applying. It needs to haze some. It's very easy to work with. I typically use...

    Sound dampening material

Second Skin or Sounddeadenershowdown are the only products I'd consider. Others are either too expensive (Dynamat), or worthless (edead). Sounddeadenershowdown has some excellent reading, and customer service is top notch. (and NO, I'm not affiliated with any of the above).

Whats the story behind your first car?

Lots of nice rides in here. Mine was a '83 Plymouth Turismo 2.2, 5 spd. (Charger cousin). I bought it in summer of '87 (b4 my senior year). It was basically still new. It had 5000 miles. The dealer let his daughter drive it (demo). It was a Chicago Auto Show Car (stamped plate underhood)...

Get a new '11 R/T, and mod it.

In the market for a new car, any Charger SRT-8 owners?

What makes an SRT8 more practical than a Mustang? Bigger back seat & trunk? I love them both, but I don't quite see how it is "Practical". "Practical" would be a 4-banger Fusion, Camry, or Accord :)

Review: Duragloss Fast Clean & Shine Detail Spray

Great review. I also use this product, and like it a lot. “…without … removing durable polishes.” ^ I think that's a strong hint that DG thinks you should also be using their "polishes" (sealants). Since all their sealants are named "polishes", that's my hunch.

Surf City Barrier Reef, Not a fan!

I've always wondered and been tempted to try other SC products. The only SC product I've tried is Dash Away. It's a winner for me. I will always have it available.
