I didn't like meguiars gold class leather wipes . Made my seats squeak and left a greasy feel for a long time . Even developed a Crack in one of my seats which is why we condition leather. Use adams cleaner /conditioner now and couldn't be happier.

He bought the kit with the rupes pads 6". (4 of them) not 4 " pads . He also noted the problem at anything above 1 so if speed 2 is too fast idk lol.

I believe they changed the hook and loop to have more Radial strength while decreasing the tear strength . Basically stronger for the stresses the machine puts on the pads and easier to remove pad

I agree I've seen several cheep paint thickness guages on amazon . I've also read some good reviews on some of these units

Dosent surprise me . I've seen paint stripped off before ,particularly with high pressure machines. I would take the rims in to a wheel repair shop they will fix it, likely cheaper than buying new

Uhs (ultra high solids) was developed for hard ceramic clears . I would think it would be suited to harder paints for sure

Todd . What is the rupes recommended method of cleaning spent product and residue from pads in between panels ?

I wouldn't be suprised if they are not compatible with each other . I think rupes gets irratated with ppl modifing their tools . I think in their "perfect world " senerio everyone would just use the system as intended . With backing plate pad and Polish all oem rupes

But your not using a Mark 2 unit are u . I suspect u might feel different if u started using your current product with a Mark 2 and started burning up pads . I think its not the power of the mark 2 that's the problem . I think its the new hook and loop . I suspect the new and improved design...
