It is a trailored boat and stays in my garage when I'm not fishing in it. I just didnt know if opti-coat was suitable for being submerged in water for hours at a time.

I have a new fishing boat. The boat is painted aluminum. I have opti-coat left over from a vehicle application. Is there any reason why this wouldnt be a good idea to aplly to the new boat??

Thinking about using Iron-x and product description I believe makes mention of masking off chrome. For those that have actually used this product how necessary is this step? Also, if only purchasing either the spray or the gel and not both, which would you recommend? Thanks to all...

Thanks to everyone for the answers and thanks A-Train and Richy for the advice. I went ahead and just did a 105/601 wax up this weekend to get some protection on her. I intend to give it one more coat of polycharged dg105. I will probably wait till spring before I do any serious correction.
