Photography Basics Part 2 - Depth of Field

Zach, I just want to reiterate what an excellent tutorial you've authored. As an avid photographer myself, I don't think I've ever seen anything online or elsewhere that explains DOF as well as you have here. Best, Steve

Please Weigh In: Polymer Sealants vs. Ceramic/Silica Products

Do you top your coatings just for the fun of it? I currently have Element 119 on my daily driver, and it has been outstanding, but I do top it with Reload from time to time just because I like that slick feel. There is no reason to top it, believe me, it beads like crazy. I just like to do it.

    Rain X?

Don't use Rain X but do use the Rain X washer fluid so I guess I am using Rain X in a passive way.

Please Weigh In: Polymer Sealants vs. Ceramic/Silica Products

I thought it would be interesting to start a thread to see which way this community is trending. I've been using polymer sealants on my vehicles (UPGP, BF Crystal Seal, etc.). Just the other day my first bottle of Reload arrived, and it got me thinking... Do you like the polymers...Optiseal...

    Rinseless wash newbie - Questions

I do rinseless all the time and also use the Garry Dean method (I prefer to just call it the multi-towel method). I like this method because I only have to fill one bucket and don't need a rinse bucket with grit guard. I use UWW+ as my rinseless wash of choice. Depending on the the amount of...

First Correction: Black Acura TL (and a few questions)

Thanks. Actually, the panel looks good to me. Poor photography on my part and a bit of dust from sitting overnight. Appreciate your comments!

First Correction: Black Acura TL (and a few questions)

Took my youngest son off to college on Saturday and just like that, we're empty nesters. Not wanting to sit around and mope, I got busy on a project I've been contemplating for a while now, correcting the 2010 Acura TL I purchased several months ago. Being the uneducated car buyer that I was...

    Review: DP Prep Polish/Paint Coating

Very nice review, Mike. Looks like you got awesome results and answered a lot of questions for me about this coating. I do have one more, however. Can you store the spray bottle of DP Coating for future use once you've opened it and worked with it? Many of these coatings need to be thrown...

Review: Detailer’s Paint Coating & Detailer’s Coating Prep Polish

Mike, great job coating the Honda. I've got a question about the new DP Paint Coating. Does this product have a shelf life? One of my complaints about the other coatings on the market is that you pretty much need to throw away any excess after the first use because oxygen exposure ruins them...

Do you sit, crouch or use seat when correcting doors and trunks?

Personally, I just sit on an upside down wash bucket. Crude but effective IMHO.

    EZ Cream Glaze

Guys, I have a black vehicle. Currently lightly swirled in a few areas and I've been putting off polishing it out. I'm a big fan of Ultima Paint Guard Plus, personally. My question is, would EZ Creme work well under UPGP or any of the other spray on sealants such as BF Crystal Seal? My thought...
