Review: DP Prep Polish/Paint Coating

Thanks Rolla, now is that a pure paint cleaner? Being an avid DG guy I would wanna try squeaky clean but then again I would be using a DP product, so maybe a DP pure cleaner would be inorder.

Sent from my SPH-M930 using AG Online

Honestly I'm sure squeaky clean would be fine, I just used the DP one because since its the same product family I figured they're just designed to work together!

But I'm sure if you got a DG SC sample from Richy, and want to use it you'll be just fine! :)

Nice review Mike and as always, great results and great photography work.

:dblthumb2:

I also believe in using products together from the same family when possible.

That's what I call a system approach, or a synergistic chemical compatibility .

Because the chemist created the first step products they better know how to create the next step products so there is a continuity between chemicals throughout the entire "chemical" process.

I think I outlined this idea best in this article,

The benefits of a light paint cleaner, cleansing lotion or pre-wax cleaner

:)

Thanks Mike.

I have always believed in this approach. It is better to use all the products from the same manufacture to assure in proper compatibility.

Very nice review, Mike. Looks like you got awesome results and answered a lot of questions for me about this coating. I do have one more, however. Can you store the spray bottle of DP Coating for future use once you've opened it and worked with it? Many of these coatings need to be thrown away after first use and it would be a plus to be able to keep it on the shelf and continue using it.

Also, perhaps I missed this in the thread, but will you be topping from time to time with anything, Reload perhaps? Just curious.

Thanks for investing your time in an excellent review.

Nick said the coating should last a while after you use it and store it properly, no extreme temps etc.., in an early thread when it was first released!:xyxthumbs:

I think more often than not, we see "problems" come to the surface that under normal circumstances are hard to explain...until we dig down further and find out that some of the McCoys were fraternizing with the Hatfields...and we know how that turned out.

Stay within the family and get a system down pat until you can do it frontwards, backwards, blindfolded, and in high heels.

Thanks Steve! Don't hesitate to ask any questions. I'm not sure about topping at the moment. The car has two coats of the coating applied 24 hours apart.

Thanks for following up for me.

for anyone in this thread who has used this coating. how many applications do you feel you will get out of the 4oz bottle?

Ummmm, I'd say if you apply it correctly the bottle could do 8-10 cars. Obviously depending on the car. But I used it on a Corolla(not mine) on the entire car and the bottle doesn't even look like I used anything. I've used it on about 5 sets of headlights too, and yeah it goes a long way
