Has anybody tried the spray version? (Four Star Ultimate Spray Wax Plus) I'll be putting CQuartz on my black Acura soon and am thinking about using USWP as a topper wax. I could use OCW but I've seen so little about USWP that I'm wondering if anyone can give an opinion on it. Best, Steve

I purchased both a PC and a Griots at pretty much the same time and like the Griots best. I'd recommend 5" pads for most work but do use my 6" pads on my wife's vehicle, a nice big Lincoln Navigator.

Sounds like you have quite a bit of course debris on the vehicle. Maybe you can carefully pick most of the debris off by hand before washing, then use the mitts/chemicals that these fine gentleman have recommended. Good luck!

A good reminder for all of us, I think. After instilling some swirls into my soft paint with rinseless washing using 2 buckets and a mitt, I'm ready to give this a try. Ha! What are you gonna name that! I'd get right on that and trademark it before somebody beats you to it!

Your call on that, I guess. I was assuming a maintenance wash with paint in good condition, with the goal of not marring or adding swirls, but if I had to say, I'd probably do those either as first step or would inspect after the foam is rinsed off. Would be happy for any advice on that.

Thanks for the replies, guys. Just went outside and tried to scrape up a few of the overspray dots with my fingernail without success, makes me worry that even more aggressive clay or the prep towel won't do it. If neither the aggressive clay or the prep towel works, I'll be $100 into this job...

Do it in stages over several weekends. Then you could: First weekend: Wash and begin to clay. Second Weekend: Light wash and finish claying. Third weekend: Use a one-step product that both polishes and waxes like one of these below: Optimum Poli Seal, paint sealant, optimum detailing products...
