What on Earth is this??? Please help

Was taken back today (Oz time) by my GF. Guy looked at it, was like, wow, that shouldn't have left like that, they haven't polished it properly, the whole bonnet will need to be redone. So, we shall see what it comes back like this time, hopefully better :S Complaint will go into insurancec...

What on Earth is this??? Please help

Thanks guys. It's actually hard to see the marks in normal light, they are there but you have to be looking closely. I had to get the car under my "detailing lights" to actually take the pictures. My GF is going to ask for a full list of everything they replaced/painted, so hopefully that will...

What on Earth is this??? Please help

I won't be touching it, want the insurance to deal with it (as you said) but wanted to know what had happened, so that I know how badly the "pros" lie to me about it. My GF will send them the pics today I believe. I may be stepping in to talk to people if she gets fed up with what she is getting...

What on Earth is this??? Please help

Hi Guys, my girlfriend had someone smash into her car, so off to the shop it went under the insurance. When it came back it had several patches of badness on the bonnet :( I don't think the bonnet was replaced but it may have been sprayed to colour match the front quarter, which was smashed. Is...

    Menzerna PF2500/SF4500

I think unless you have some pretty serious swirls (ie deep) then 2500 should be fine. You can always use it with a pad with more cut. 2500 and 4500 don't dust at all for me, 1000 does a bit, but like I said, it's probably more because I'm a noob than because the product is no good :S

    Menzerna PF2500/SF4500

I've used pg1000, i thought it was pretty good, it does dust a little, but that may have been because i'm very new to detailing and still a noob. Here was my first ever detail using menzerna products (I wouldn't recommend SW-PROTECT, I'm going to buy some POWERLOCK next)...

    $19.95 Mobile Wash & Wax!

You know that there are car wash products that are called "wash and wax" right, maybe that is what he means... Either that or his wax is just a microfiber soaked in QD that he only changes/refreshes every week lol

    k and n air filter

You said you wanted it to sound better, why not change the exhaust? Or do you want to change the intake sound? Honestly, if it was me, I wouldn't touch it, unless you plan to do some serious mods down the track. One or two small mods won't make a big difference to the power/driving experience...

Which steps are mandatory for polishing with Menzerna products

I think you could go from pg1000 to sf4000. I went from pg1000 to sf4500 and it seemed fine, although I am a noob, so do a test spot and see :)

Black 2006 Honda Civic - Before & After Pics

    Most versatile polishing combinations?

My first machine detail (less than 6 months ago) was using products from the menzerna line. The 15 year old DD I used them on turned out great, I couldn't believe it!!! Even though I haven't tried other brands yet, I'd happily recommend their products as being easy to use, and capable of...

How to clean your foam pad on the fly

Great video mike, that makes it very clear :) I'm new to machine polishing and only tried "on the fly" cleaning once (after reading your book) and I epically failed! My problem was I basically tried to hold the pad tight so that it would move before I turned it on, the machine won hahaha. the...
