i wouldnt call poliseal a sealant....it is an aio product, but has almost no protective qualities....i use it alot as a clean up product after a polish, it leaves a very clean base for a sealant....i use 4 star upp after a quick pass with poliseal....
so yes, if you want to use nxt paste after...
i know this post is thread is old, but i thought i might add...i did my whole car with xmt 360, white pad, speed 6 udm....very easy to use, flashes just about instant, and i cant believe the level of correction you can get with an aio product....
nxt contains fillers, and that is why it stains soo bad....poliseal is designed to be used with a da polisher, if you want to get any correction from the poliseal, you need to use a da machine....
the problem is keeping it lubricated...you will be fighting the sun as it drys out the clay lube...why not find some shade or wait til the sun drops low enough so you have some light but your not in direct sun....
if you have drying lube while your dragging the clay over the finish, you will...
you beat me to it......
i have and use both xmt 360 and poliseal....i think xmt 360 will correct a bit better then poliseal....but i would suggest topping both with a synthetic sealant....for added durability
why do you think you need to clean the pad after every panel....if your pad is getting that caked up every panel then i would think your using too much polish....maybe i am wrong??
i like the 5.5" pads myself...but i keep all sizes on hand....4" are nice for harder corrections as they correct best, but 5.5" is hard to beat for all around pad uses...they correct good, and cover a larger area faster...plus for use with a sealant or wax they cover quicker.....
this is going...
i have cobras and meguiars and a few other brands....the costcos ones seem just as good, maybe not the best ones, but they are fine for a polish wipe down and sealants....
you guys are acting like cobra is the only company that can make a decent microfibre....thats like saying fruit of the...
dude, these yellow microfibres at costco are really nice microfibres...just as nice as anything else out there...
its all about the content of the clothes....the ones at costo are 80/20 which are perfect for paint detailing and wax/sealant/polish removal....
why do it by hand when you already know your machine can do a much better job and quicker as well...i say use your machine with the poliseal, and maybe use a black pad vrs a white pad for a less agressive approach....
i am in the same boat right now, i polished out my tl type s about 4 months...
who ever told you that you cant correct paint with a pc is an idiot and doesnt know what they are talking about...watch some of the how to videos on autogeek and you will see how well a pc can correct paint...
i use my pc 100% of the time to lay down a sealant....i use a slow speed, 2-3, and i can knock out the car in 20 minutes or less....plus i get really good coverage with the pc....
