    It Was My Water

Recently got a black daily driver. New 4 door Wrangler. Big vehicle so obviously I can't dry fast enough. Now I never washed any of my cars by hand before but this one I want to keep for a long time. And my last car rusted because I did not wash it enough. But that took 10 years for it to...

I am going to try washing then drying with a leaf blower. Then light mist with Optimum Opti Clean since I have some as a drying aid and lubricant. Go over with damp micro towel and then buff with dry micro towel. Will see how it comes out. If that does not work then next step might be to...

Optimum Opti Clean as a Drying Aid ?

Many on this forum are using UWW+ as a drying aid. I have some Opti Clean hanging around from winter. So I figure Opti Clean should work similar no ? My method would be to dry with a leaf blower. Then apply Opti Clean. Then dry with micro towel. Hoping the Opti Clean would remove any water...

Noob Having Problems with Washing & Spots

Yeah Hydo2 I am using. I figured I might have a product problem also. I am going to use the Meguiars and Hydro2 up I think since I have them and then switch to another wash. I have been spraying the Hydro2 on and then going over it with a drying towel as I dry. So not correct then eh ?

Noob Having Problems with Washing & Spots

Yeah I figured it was the water. I thought I could use the Hydro for a QD ? I have a water softener that all my hot water runs from. It is not attached to the cold water or the hose. Maybe put some softened hot water in a bucket and use that to rinse ?

Noob Having Problems with Washing & Spots

Recently purchased a 2015 Black 4 Door Jeep Wrangler. This thing is big. I have to get up on a stool or small ladder to wash and dry the roof and the hood and the front windshield. It is a daily driver by the way. I am getting spots and white hazy areas after I initially dry with a Dry Me...

    Questions on my New Jeep

Got a black wrangler 4 door in January. After the brutal winter spring is finally here. I had to do touchless car washes as temps were sub 0. Tried to do windows once and the Meguires froze on me ! So I could not do anything other than wash for the last 2 months. Yesterday I did a...

    Quick Question on Rinseless Wash

In the how to's on the forum it mentions a wash mitt when doing washless yet the pictures show a micro towel. I have mitts but I don't have wash towels specifically for rinseless. Does it matter whether I use a mitt or a towel ?

It Is Supose to Be 6 Degrees Saturday

Really - no towel after pressure wash eh ? Didn't know that. Yeah I suspected I would end up having to do a rinseless afterwards. So Optimum No Rinse - is that what ONR that I see on this forum refers to ?

It Is Supose to Be 6 Degrees Saturday

Saturdays are my wash days. No drain in my garage...... So I am taking my vehicle to a coin-op to get grime and salt off. Wash and rinse. Then I have to get out of the bay because people are waiting which means I have to dry outside. So quick blow with leaf blower and dry with micro towels...

Sealing Paint on a New Vehicle

So on my new vehicle should I 1) remove the old wax first 2) and then paint cleaner 3) and then seal 4) and then wax ? Is that the right order ? Keep in mind it is winter time here so very cold. Have read most products work best above 50 degrees. So my goal is to just do what I have to...

Sealing Paint on a New Vehicle

My black Wrangler is 2 weeks old. Have washed it a couple times. I have read and people on this forum told me to seal the paint right away - I think that is what LSP means correct ? Now my question is don't I have to remove all of the original wax PRIOR to sealing the paint and then re-wax...

    Removing Dealer Label

Told dealer not to put label on my new vehicle and they did it anyway. Over on the Wrangler forum they said to take a hairdryer and peel it off with my fingernails. Then run WD40 over it, then wash that off then put wax over it. Would this be correct or is there a better way of doing it ?

    I Need Ideas on Drying

Did all of the trim, inside, platics, rubbers with 303 Protectant already. That is some good stuff ! With regards to sealing - our temps right now are running 6 to 25 degrees. I don't have a heated garage. I have DP on the way but I don't think it is warm enough from what I have read on...

    I Need Ideas on Drying

Got a new 4 door Jeep Wrangler. Big sucker with a lot of surface area. Black. Right now it is winter. I washed this week end at a bay where I sprayed the car myself. I ran a squeegee over it. I have been told to get rid of it and I see why that makes sense. (Silicone by the way)...

What Would You Have Done Different

So many products and I am just starting. I went on the How To forum thread and the Wheel Brightener was one of the recommended items. Not that big of a deal as it was only $15 I can always pick something else up in the future if I don't like it.
