A meet with a fellow Geek

Got a late start this morning but arrived at perfect time for taping & compounding. :xyxthumbs: Was great meeting Kevin & Grady, both cool guys! A pleasure to work on a very nicely kept BMW (Such a fantastic color!). This was a nice first tryout for the Rupes 21 as well as Grady's Cyclo! This...

My first detail in two months this weekend:)

Thanks for the info. I have the VX5000 and alternate between Folex, Meg's APC, Blue Coral (nice fresh smell), and 303 if needed. I haven't come across an interior that bad yet but would like to be prepared with my process. Good luck with the other vehicles and rest that back!

My first detail in two months this weekend:)

First, glad your back is doing well! Second, great job on the cleanup! :props: That interior was pretty foul. May I ask your process for the interior cleanup? I'm trying to get my interior process down to a science.

Need ideas to get more interior jobs

    - carpets/seats= steam and APC with a carpet brush on gg6, hot water extract, set to side to dry. Can you tell me what your process is for the carpet brush? Which one do you find is more effective for the seats\carpet\headliner? and do\would you use a soft bristled one on leather, depending...

Review: Ultima Interior Guard vs Wolfgang Cockpit Sealant

Thank you for your review OP! Very informative however I have one other important question that wasn't touched upon. How would you say each product smelled to you while applying? Also, if either smell was present when first applied, did either dissipate after a certain amount of time? I...

New Rupes Microfiber Pads at SEMA

Hmmm, another key element for me to see would be how best to clean these? Using compressed air looks to be the best option.

Live Broadcast on AutogeekOnline this Thursday Night!

Hello Mike, it would be great to watch this however, I have a previous engagement for this Thurs. How soon do you usually post the video or at least the follow up post with pics? It's actually my birthday as well that night and just being able to watch and learn something new would be great...

    WIPE NEW Reviews

Hey tuscarora dave, how long did it take for the plastic to turn white\gray since putting UTTG? I was thinking about getting this to use on future vehicles but now leaning towards Refinish Restorer. I've seen your work and it's great, just wondering what process you use for the plastic parts. Do...

Ran across this and wanted some of your thoughts?

Yes, this was exactly my thoughts as well. Evan.J Is there any reason that you do not want to polish the paint before you out a coating on? This would be your best bet as coating over any defects will keep the defects. I hadn't planned on buying this, in fact, I just purchased the Rupes...

Ran across this and wanted some of your thoughts?

I cannot really find much from searching the web on this. Looks to be similar to coatings like Opti-coat but thick enough to "fill-in" light scratches, etc? Don't have any idea on protection nor what it would look like after a certain amount of time. Clear Coat | Scratch Repair | GlowPro I'm...

Anyone use LED Work Lights instead of halogen?

    Sure thing, thanks!

    How to restore this trim?

Another tip using the tape and your GG6 would be to open both doors so that you can tape off in between them (vehicle dependent + thin tape is fine here if you have some). This way you won't have anything in the middle crack to clean out and can do both sides at the same time, or back to back...

    How to restore this trim?

Same here, just completed my sister's car and they came out great! Better than expected and unfortunately, no pics with me as I'm at work.
