Best tire shine and wheel cleaner to buy

Up until recently I was using DP Wheel Cleaner for both the wheels and tires followed by Blackfire Long Lasting Tire Gel. But the other day I ran out of the Wheel Cleaner and needed to use some Meguiar's APC to finish one of my cars. The Meguiar's worked just as well as the DP did, so I've...

    Favorite bug splat removal products/method?

+1 for diluted APC and the yellow bug sponge. Unfortunately someone stole my bug sponge while it was drying in the sun out front of my house last week! Neighbors must be jealous of my Autogeek supplies.....

Honda Clear coat issues w/ pic's

I have a 2006 Honda Accord (black in color) and am having very similar issues on the hood. Based on my research both here on Autogeek and elsewhere I believed it is clearcoat failure. I too have washed the car weekly, spray waxed after each wash and waxed it with quality wax at least 2-3 times...

    Glass cleaner... bang for buck

+1 for Meguiar's Glass Cleaner (concentrate). I've tried many but this was the best for me by far. Combine it with the right microfiber towel and my windows look like they aren't even there......

How do you guys judge the durability of a wax?

Interesting point Mike. I have tried a number of waxes over the last few years and had different beading results. I find Collinite #845 beads very well, in fact I still have great beading on my truck which I waxed in November. However, I used some DP carnuba based Max Wax on my car around the...

    bang for buck interior protectant

I use Detailer's Pro Series Interior Surface Protectant. I like it as it protects the surface without too much shine, lasts a long time, smells great and isn't too expensive.

    How i overcame waterspots today

I have to say this is a great tip! Here in Florida our hard water dries so quickly on the car that it always leaves horrible water spots. Thanks Kelley!

    Longest lasting spray wax?

I've used both Optimum and the Pinacle Liquid Souveran and like them both about the same. That being said, I use them after my weekly wash just to add a little more "pop" and shine to my cars. Every 4-6 months I strip off my old wax, re-seal the paint with Meguiar's Sealant 2.0 and then top it...

    First time paint correction questions

Great info guys. Thanks for the pointers and I'll post pictures once I get them all done. By the way Mike, I love the book! I picked up a copy last week with my Autogeek Order!

    First time paint correction questions

Hey all, I've been a reader of the forums here at Autogeek for quite some time but haven't really done much in the way of posting until now. Before finding Autogeek I commited all the cardinal sins of auto care including improper washing and waxing techniques. This has left my vehicles with...

Win a Copy of Mike Phillips' Book - The Art of Detailing!

I really want to get a copy of this book as I have learned so much from Mike online, but I can't afford it since I spent all of my "disposable" income on my last autogeek order! LOL!:buffing:
