Thanks for the comments nica! It really means a lot coming from "seasoned" detailers! Anyway, I didn't see any kind of residue on the engine at all. Maybe it's reserved for luxury vehicles.

Here is my first show in shine. It's my wifes brand new Jetta. Had all of 30 miles on it (requested no wash at the time of delivery) when the detail was done. On to the process/pics... Wash: Washed w/ Duragloss #901 via foam gun and all white/wheel shmitt's. PB Bug Squash to remove adhesive...

I used the 8" wool pads last night and they were soooooo much smoother than the 6" foam. I probably won't use the foam much anymore unless the wool is dirty at the time.

I've used the rotary on 2 cars and haven't had trails or holograms. I just hit it at 1500 then follow up with a pass at 900. That seems to get anything out that may have been caused by the faster speed.

I started using a rotary because when I first attempted to take out the corrections it took forever and it didn't get everything out. I just used the rotary on my wifes new jetta, pics will be posted later, and got awesome results. Just had one problem when I bumped the door handle hard and...

Al, I bought the edge wool pads off your review...Thanks! Now, how do you clean your wool pads? Can I just spray them with some power dissolver and agitate with a edge pad cleaner? I have a wool spur for inbetween panel cleaning but wasn't sure what to do afterwords. Thanks again!

I didn't know they could get 6" wool pads. Oh well.

I just picked up a set of the edge wool, yellow - white, but have yet to use them...been too busy with work. They seem like they are made really well.
