if you are considering a pc, then i would get the udm...its pretty much the same machine with more power, better warranty....i have used both, and the biggest difference is setting 6...much more power....

your going to have a hard time getting swirls out of your paint without a machine...udm/pc/flex....

i have used the gray for both, fine polish products and wax/sealants....you can also use the white for sealants and cleaner waxes...

the sip seems kind of intense for your job, i tend to start out with the least agressive and then move up if needed...you could save a few bucks with a pc or udm vrs the flex as well, since you said you bill was high....the flex or udm/pc is more than enough machine to correct your paint...

you can wash and clay in the same step...saves time...i use two buckets of soapy water...do one section at a time, ie: soap up the hood, rinse, resoap with second bucket and clay, rise...repeat process on whole car...

make sure you spread the polish out before you turn on the machine...also, never turn on your machine without the pad being on the paint...this should help your splatter issue....

i just got done soaking mine in hot water and dawn....i squeezed them out a few times in the soapy water and rinsed them clean in fresh water and let them dry out....they are clean, they are just foam pads....

i really cant say what kind of scratches can be removed with the advanced swirl remover, but i can tell you that i just did my car for the first time with my udm/pinnacle twins... car was 6 months old, i used the advanced swirl remover with orange lk country pad on the hood and bumper...i then...

just found out my friend down the street has a pc that went dead on him...he had the thing for a little over a year, used it 6 times and now it doesnt work...now he has a udm...so the pc isnt perfect either it seems....

i personally cant vouch for the reliability as of yet, i just got mine a few weeks back...but i can tell you that i did a ton of research before the purchase between the udm and pc...the early problem with the udm has been resolved, and the warranty and customer service is great...i ended up...

yea, the tiny specs are really light, i might do the rest of the car with a white pad, and do the bumper skin with the orange pad...i am hopping they will come out, but the downside is that from driving on the highway, the bumper skin will just get knicked up again...you really cant see without...

matt, should i stay away from thoes orange wolfgang pads that came with the kit, or are they ok for a new car finish...i was thinking that i should use the white pad that comes with the udm for the finishing polish and the grey or black one that you guys sent me with a sealant...

how are these two products, i have a brand new car and ordered the udm pinnacle twins kit, these are the two polishes that came with the kit...do i need to use the swirl remover on a new or fairly new car, or can i just use the finishing polish and some sealant to make the car look great...i do...

what brand of orange pad were you using, and what condition is the paint you are working on...

i would say use a 5" pad or a smaller backing plate...if your pc is having trouble pushing the 6.5" pad, a bigger backing plate isnt going to sove that problem....
