    Porter Cable XP ?.

Thanks Torino. I have learned all that you suggested on the forum as well. I have spent hours reading on autogeek, great info all around here. I was just wondering if there was anything I was doing wrong. I do not believe the weight of the machine should not bog it down to basically a...

    Porter Cable XP ?.

Ok, let me start by saying hi to everyone. I bought my 7424xp back in DEC 09. The machine was running really well for the first two months I'd used it. Around the Feb. time frame my XP seemed to bog under any type of pressure I applied to it. Even under setting six it stopped spinning...

Cant decide what to apply on new car.

Actually I own a Flex 3401 and a 7424xp. The reason I am having a problem deciding because the paint does not have any swirl marks or scratches. It's literally off the lot. I don't feel like it needs any polishing. I have 85rd for my lightest polish, however, I do not feel like I need to...

Cant decide what to apply on new car.

Okay, I am going to detail my first new car. It is a 2010 red Escape. The paint is in great condition. That being said I can not decide what to apply to the car. I have narrowed it down to this. Klasse AIO followed by Nattys blue paste wax or Wolfgang 3.0 (giving it 12 hrs to cure) followed...

    Power Gloss vs. 105

Okay. I remember seeing a video, where the car was wiped down with a 50/50(water/alcohol) solution. What is the purpose of wiping down the whole car down with alcohol; after a polish?

Thanks Jonny. Ok, so I have SSR2.5 here at home, can I can use that instead of 205? I have no problem buying 205; just curious.

    Hawaii Sun: Baked Water Spots...Help.

No, I moved all my cars away from those sprinklers. I figured, to day any kind of major detailing would be pointless unless I parked away from the sprinklers. I have told my neighbors to do the same or have the sprinklers face a different direction.

    Hawaii Sun: Baked Water Spots...Help.

Feed back pleaseOk so I tried the 105 and it works great. I used a pc with an orange pad for this. Now, my question is; should I follow the 105 with 205 or can I just follow it with 85rd. I'm looking for optimal results.

    3 Step Polish? 2 questions

So does an aggressive polish/compound always get followed by a medium polish? Or does it depend on the outcome?
