    My New 2012 Black Mustang GT,.....YIKES !!

Wash the car then clay. Do a test spot and try the least aggressive pad/polish combo first. Perhaps the white pad with Griot's 3. If that isn't getting it, then step to the 4, or the 105. Then I would follow with a white pad and 205. Do an IPA wipe down (alcohol and water mix to remove the...

    Are these whells ruined

My recommendation with clear that is peeling off of your wheels is to find a mobile wheel painter and have him repair your wheels. In my last place I lived in Florida, I had a guy do mine for about 50 bucks a wheel, which was a good deal, and they looked sharp.

    7424x or Flex?

It was that video that solidified my choice of getting the Flex. I love mine. Very easy to use, even as an amateur.

    Getting reaquainted with #7

And by the way, I need to thank you again for sending me that article when I had pm'd you over at the corvette forum. The information was invaluable in helping me get the '74 back to looking a lot better. The car is practically 100% original except for the filler panels. The '74 is actually my...

    Getting reaquainted with #7

Hey Mike, actually I did wash the car and then clayed. I tried the MF towel and #7 first. I was putting in a lot of effort and there was no transfer of dirt or anything like that as in the article that you had posted. That's when I decided to break out the Flex, a white pad, and some 205. I...

    Getting reaquainted with #7

I used #7 on my '74 Eldorado. I applied and let sit overnight. I tried to follow Mike's suggestion with using it to bring the paint back to life, but no dice. So I ended using some 205 first and then the #7. Turned out great. My dad was shocked that I could bring the paint back to life.

    Door hinge lube

WD40 is a degreaser. It actually does not lubricate. I would not recommend that at all.

    Leatherette protectant

I would suggest using the aerospace protectant on the vinyl (leatherette, or as my German friends and I call it Kunstleder). This will provide good protection with a non-shiny look.

    Hi from Germany

Hallo und herzlich willkommen. For scratches, I would recommend getting yourself a dual-action orbital buffer kit. Griots Garage buffer, Meguiars, Porter Cable, or Flex (German and fantastic, this is what I use). Buy it with a swirl remover kit. I have the Flex and Wolfgang kit (Wolfgang FLEX...

    Rhythm - Retro Supercar

That is amazing work and craftsmanship. I can appreciate the time and dedication that it took to build this vehicle. Personally I would have selected a manual transmission for said masterpiece, but that's just me. Thank you for drudging this old post up, it is a spectacular example of what hard...

I agree, the DP fogging system may be a good thing to clean out the smoke smell with the addition of the 1Z Klima Clean.
