Liquid vs Spray Sealers and Waxes

Spray sealants & waxes are great for areas such as wheels compared to liquid sealants and especially paste waxes. That being said, I pretty much never apply these sort of products or anything whatsoever to wheels as I don’t think they offer much if any benefit. As far as spray vs. liquid...

Brand New Ford Headlamp Assemblies - to coat or not to coat

Well, sunglasses last and protect from UV forever. So there’s 1 example. I just checked and Lamin-X has a 5yr. warranty against turning yellow.

Brand New Ford Headlamp Assemblies - to coat or not to coat

Clear PPF. [you can also choose tinted colored PPF] That’s the only option if you want true UV protection. Lamin X sells pre cut custom sets to fit just about any vehicle. There’s other brands as well. Ceramic coating won’t help one bit. Waxes & sealants can only do so much. Spraying clearcoat...

Whats the go-to wash mitt now days?

Just to clarify why I don’t like the noodle mitts, it’s because I wound up with 1 of them, which curiously enough was purchased here on AG that just doesn’t glide across the paint with any ease [I tried it on several different cars] and it’s mainly because of that experience with that mitt that...

What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Cool. It’s actually good that you don’t remember it happening [not being sarcastic] because right when I finished that previous post I remembered when I had done the complete write up on my current Cadillacs initial detail years ago and I can remember you posting in that thread and that’s why I...

What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

That was the car accident I was in 6yrs. ago. I got T Boned by a drunk driver and by the grace of God managed to get pulled out of my car pretty much unscathed, not even a scratch on my face and walking around believe it or not. Unfortunately I did wind up with some pretty significant internal...

What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

I use clamps to keep the seatbelt retracted, the closed door simply prevents the interior from getting all wet. Yes, I keep the seatbelts retracted until they fully dry, but the last step I do is wring them out with a clean dry cotton terry towel to start the drying process and also helps get...

Whats the go-to wash mitt now days?

Actually, I was referring to the Blue mitt in your post. I think my Chinese Blue mitt is every bit as good as whatever comes from Korea. How well it releases dirt is sort of irrelevant considering I use something like 16 mitts in my wash bucket so there’s always a fresh clean mitt for every...
