    Flex Overheating?

Hello AG! I bought my Flex 3401 just recently, however I was doing my first job with Flex and just around 10 mins of using the polisher it wouldnt start. I noticed that the metal housing that holds the backing plate is hot. I waited for around 20 mins or so for the metal to cooldown then it...

Yellow Mustang with embedded dirt...help please

I think I have the same problem, but for mine it was only a small spot, like a blemish. I'll post some pics in this thread later. The car came directly from the manufacturer btw and I had seen this blemish ever since I got it.

    ?!?clay not working?!?

Strange indeed if there was nothing at all that was grabbed by the clay. However I want to share my experience with claying + baggie test. I was claying one of our cars because I'm certain that it needed clay because 1. It was not kept indoors, and 2. it has not been clayed ever since 2007. I...

When to use Meg's quik interior detailer

Alright then, I'll just use my QID somewhere else, probably some of my friend's ride because I'd want to maintain the DP coatings on my vehicle.

When to use Meg's quik interior detailer

I see, but will QID remove Natural Shine as well?

When to use Meg's quik interior detailer

Thanks all, I bought myself a bottle of UQID. I'll just use them for quick touch ups and if there are any dusts laying around. Other than that, I'll focus on the DP cleaner and protectant. Cheers!

    Feeding Nourishment to Clear Coat

Hi Dave, I have used DP Paint sealant topped with Collinite 845 with success. It does hold up very strongly given our harsh environmental conditions where I live in. Plus it keeps my paint looking shiny just by wiping down. I didn't reapply my Collinite until around 4 months. Do let us know as...

    Disastrous results.

I have a friend with the same problem as you are. What he did was to get a 900 grit sand paper and scrubbed it against his '72 Camaro. He didn't use any polishes/compounds, just the sand paper. The result? It's like looking at a glass. Try it if it would work on yours! BTW Happy first day of April.

Thanks, I haven't really tried applying coating in my ride, probably I'll test it out in a couple of weeks or so. What coating would you recommend?

collinite 845. gone in 2 weeks

Something to also note, in the past I was experimenting with combination of products with Collinite 845. The worst combination I did was: 1. Wash and clay 2. Used Meguiar's Swirl-x 3. Used Meguiar's Step 2 Deep Crystal Polish 4. Topped with Collinite 845 as LSP With this combo, my collinite...

    Dakota Odor Bomb Trick

Fair enough, however the OP stated that he also used a different product that eliminated the odor. True enough, I wished I had more time to disassemble my A/C unit to clean it but couldn't afford that time

    Dakota Odor Bomb Trick

Thanks, I'll probably try this one out in another car I'll be working on. Okay cool, I guess it works the same as Dakota. I'll let you know if I'm successful with my Dakota or not. Cheers! Hmmm it was my assumption that the Dakota bomb ELIMINATES the odor and not cover it up? But I get the...

    Dakota Odor Bomb Trick

Thanks for your idea, I think that would work much more efficient if i'll first circ the AC. Have you tried the Dakota bomb personally? Basing from the others here in the thread, they say there's a risk of staining/damping the interiors. Which makes me think twice of getting this or the Clean...

    Dakota Odor Bomb Trick

I got a problem with an unpleasant smell coming from my A/C, particularly with its fan. My plan is to do the following: 1. With my car's engine off, I'll place the Dakota Odor Bomb at the center of the car (carpet between the front seats and backseats) and lock the Dakota Odor bomb. 2. Let it...

Approach to detailing outside vs. shelter garage area

There are products out in the market that are "sun safe", just make sure you use those products. But I'd definitely recommend doing it inside your garage if you can. :)
