I have come across alot of 5 year old cars that have never been waxed and the clearcoat is blistered off of them and the people want me to fix it. When I tell them its to late you should have waxed it they just say, the dealer said it had clearcoat and didn't need to be waxed. Usually seniors...
Use a damp micro fiber towel and some fabric safe cleaner. Spray the cleaner on the towel not the headliner and lightly go over the headliner. Do not scrub to hard or get the headliner to wet. There may be some spots on a headliner that may not come out but they should lighten up.
We use Intuit for both of our companies. Easy to use, prices are good and you can add things as your budget allows. They also have a complete line of business services like credit card payments through you smart phone, payroll, tax programs etc.
Thanks Kristopher. It only took me 10 years and 5 different vehicles to finally get a set-up I'm happy with. Having your vehicle set the way you like makes mobile detailing so much easier!:awesome:
I would stay away from the oxy clean powder. I did experiment with it and it can get messy. There is liquid spray oxy clean that is easier to use. Try Resolve spray carpet cleaner. Works well.
I use a Porter Cable polisher with the brush attachment and Resolve spray cleaner. This keeps the seats from getting to wet and Resolve does a good job on stains and leaves a fresh clean scent. Always vacuum first and you can use an extractor afterwards if you like. Just be careful of applying...
I don't use vans any more. I love this F-150 because it gives me a back seat so I can use it for personal use and picking up the grand kids, but also the chemicals, gasolie etc. putting out odors are seperated from the passenger compartment. Gas mileage on this truck is pretty good too!
If you go with a gas model my experience has been to go with the Honda powered ones, same with electric generators. Very reliable and they start well. I think Karcher makes the best electric. The Karcher I have now I've had for two years and still runs good. You need a pressure washer for wheel...
I have to agree with Seajay on this one. There are as many products as there are opinions. I tell my customers to stick with the name brands to start. Stay away from the bargain or just cheap stuff as it will cost you in the long run. You are not going to get burned by Mothers, Mequiars, Adams...
Ice storms here are killers, then you get the humidity in the summer. 95 in the shade and 70% humidity helps keep the weight down. No fat detailers here. LOL
Try not to worry about what others are charging. Everybodys business situation is a little different, besides there is always going to be someone out there who will under cut you to get the quick money. Most of them won't last long but they leave a bad taste in many peoples mouth. Mobile...
Flyers can give the wrong impression. I hate to come out of the store and find them on my windshield. We use a professional post card that we put on cars that are worthy of detailing ex. Escalades etc. no Cavaliers. On the top line of the card we put "Your vehicle has been chosen to recieve 30%...
A couple of things to watch out for. Make sure the surface of the car is clean. Clean it right before you clay. Do not try to to big of an area at a time as the surface may dry to soon causing the clay to stick and mar. Clay in the shade or in the garage out of the direct sunlight. If it is a...
A line of credit or some cash set aside does help cover if you have no insurance. What you have to watch out for are the people who are waiting to sue someone for anything. They want a new paint job because they think you left a scratch that was already there. But if your careful about the type...
