Martin, These pieces were off my jet ski that I just recently purchased from another owner. It seems like he left the ski out on the sun in salt water on their vacation, and caused the chrome pieces to have that salt water oxidation, and bubbling?

Thanks for all the tips guys! I just wanted to see what route I can take before purchasing some new ones. New ones from the seadoo dealership is very expensive. All the pieces that I need totals up to about $350. Some of the chrome plastics did bubble up due to the sun i am assuming?

What can i use to remove the salt residue that is etched into the plastic?

Is there anything I can use to restore this plastic chrome, or am I better off buying some new ones? The previous owner didn't really wash down their jet ski after using it in salt water, so as you can see from the pictures the salt water really messed them up! Also, does anyone know any good...

Mike, Thanks for all your help man! Are the meguiar's or the 3m the type of marine products I can find locally at my auto parts store, or would you have to order them online?

I will be working it with the Porter cable 7424(not sure if this was the model) with the edge 2000 pad kit. Which marine products would you recommend to polish the oxidized area?

Is there a way I can tell if the clear coat is gone? Could that be why the paint looks dull in that area?

So the black area just needs a good polishing. What kind of polish do you guys recommend? Right now i currently have the 3 stages of the optimum polishes. The polish, compound, and heavy compound. I also have the klasse twins, so I will use those for protecting it.

When applying Klasse AIO do any of you guys use the WOWO method? The 1st time i detailed my car i used my PC with a Blue Edge Finishing pad. It took a while for me to finish! I am planning to detail my car again, but i was wondering could i just do the WOWO method then apply the klasse SG?
