Meguiars MF discs (which do you guys use)

I only have the cutting discs. My thought is I am going to final polish with a foam pad.

    Menzerna Starter kit

True that FG400 can be used alone and you can go straight to LSP, but I like PF2500 for the intermediate range where FG400 is too much cut and SF4000 is not enough. If you have all three of these you probably can cover 90% of situations. Ultimate 2-step combos would probably be FG400/SF4000...

    Remember to shake your bottles

strap it on with lots of duct tape onto the backing plate (I use the 6" backing plate since it is closest to the bottle size). Duct tape the lid too. I do it in a few spurts of about 20 seconds each because I don't want to screw up the machine. And only on speed 1. I hold the machine over...

    Remember to shake your bottles

Indeed. Same with BFWD. I spun mine on the GG6 this past weekend for about a minute and shook it by hand for another 10 minutes before I used it. I try to shake most of my products about once a month, especially during the winter when I'm not using them.

    Scratch removal and detailing questions

If it is all the way through the paint and you can catch it with your nail, it won't polish out as mentioned. Your only option then would be to touch up and feathersand it into the surrounding paint following by compound and/or polish to remove sanding marks. Or have the whole bumper repainted.

Sweet deal on electric pressure washer! (AR 383)

Even if it runs at average 1200 psi, that's still probably 20 times more than my garden hose with fire nozzle. The description does say that 1,900 psi is the "max".

Tire cleaner? **You might be a newb question**

Get yourself a gallon of Meguiars D101 and you'll be good to go (and safe).

BLACKFIRE Crystal Coat Paint Coating Kit

You should be able to find Duragloss 901 locally (Carquest usually carries it). I would think you would still be able to use something like BF Midnight Sun Instant Detailer after a 2BM as a drying aid. I use BF Polymer Spray after a rinseless...wonder if that would be recommended after coating?

BLACKFIRE Wet Diamond Metal Acrylic Sealant really runny??

Could be a bad one. Here's mine and I've had it for at for over a year. Just used it today. Check the stamp on the back too. I think it is the mfg date. Mine is "13120" which I am guessing is 1/20/2013? Or it is just a batch number. Call AG and see if they will replace for you.

BLACKFIRE Wet Diamond Metal Acrylic Sealant really runny??

No, it shouldn't be that runny. You need to shake it better...like alot.

Removing dust after the car was driven from washing to polishing

And get a bucket with a gamma lid so you can premix your rinseless solution at the first location and take it with you to the 2nd location that doesn't have water.

    Blackfire Crystal Coat - Video?

Any videos of BFCC application out there that anyone has found? I've checked Bing and YouTube...no luck yet. Any of the techs at AG willing to make one?

It appears the LC foam applicator is what is being promoted for an applicator (that's what they sell in the BF coating "kit"). BLACKFIRE Crystal Coat Paint Coating Kit

help with pads....maybe a stupid question but...

I'd say go ahead and try it as well, especially if you are just going to cut it up to the edge of the velcro. I would use a brand new razor blade...the main thing to avoid in my mind would be pushing down to much with a dull blade around the edge of the velcro and the velcro detaching from the...

    Powerlock pad cleaning!!!

I'm just going to concur with all these guys. I use D101 neat to clean all my pads. Won't dent BFWD or Coll 845 pads. I still clean and rinse them really well and let them dry, but they are dedicated to just the specific sealant. Anytime you try a new sealant, just start with a fresh pad and...

Disapointed after poilishing and winter weatherr

Take a look at the new Blackfire coating. A couple people have tried it as their first coating and had really good success with it. Make sure to get the pre-coating spray. Another one that seems real user friendly from my reading is the DP coating. I think that one has a prep "polish" so...

Disapointed after poilishing and winter weatherr

Toyota is typically soft paint (I'm a Honda guy...I feel your pain). You should plan to polish at least once per year unless you put on a coating. I polish mine twice a year, though I'm leaning towards just doing it once in the spring and/or maybe looking at a coating. Don't have as much time...
