All backing plates are NOT created equally :-(

I use the cg evolve and love them. I like the deeper foam allowing them to contour with body lines. and they are a taller pad. which means the tool is further away from the painted surface. and they have great durability.

    AG Stands Behind Product

I bought a sheep skin wash mitt. Used it about 3 or 4 times and it started to literally fall apart on me. Almost shredding itself. I contacted AG and explained it to them. They told me that it was probably user error, which it ended up being. It was my first sheep skin mitt, so I didn't...

Meg's All Wheel & Tire Cleaner

So I put some diluted LATA in an old bottle with foaming sprayer. It did pretty well, but not near as well as this cleaner. I think this will definitely stay in my arsenal.

Super quick review of 2 products.

It was diluted. I used 16 oz. LA to 8 oz. of water. I use LATA a LOT, for the simple fact that with some different dilutions it can be used on anything. I even pretreat stains with it in my family's day to day laundry.

Super quick review of 2 products.

I usually strip and recoat with something different after about 4-6 weeks. But if it is a maintanence wash I use v7 afterwards. So I still see ok beading at the time I strip it. The v7 may extend the life of this combo.

Super quick review of 2 products.

I decided to wash my car after 2 weeks of not doing so. Needless to say, it was much needed. The wheels and tires received LATA in a meg's foaming bottle/sprayer. And the paint got foamed with CG citrus wash with the Gilmour Foam Gun and 2BM wash with the same. I wanted to strip the last LSP...

Meg's All Wheel & Tire Cleaner

I am not sure as far as comparison with mother's goes. I have yet to use it. The only thing I can compare it to is LATA. And while LATA may work better. I like the foaming of the meg's. So I have used an empty bottle from this product, diluted my LATA and put it in the meg's bottle with the...

Meg's All Wheel & Tire Cleaner

Correct. It is non-acidic. I have used the chrome cleaner in the red bottle which is acid based. It does work quite good from my experiences. Not quite as strong as wheel brightener though.

Meg's All Wheel & Tire Cleaner

So, this being my first review, I will make it short and to the point. I decided to give Meg's All Wheel & Tire Cleaner a try last night, while washing the fiancée's kia. The initial observation was how thick the foam was that came out of the sprayer. It clings very well and for a good period...

Harbor Freight DA Polisher - New

Awesome to hear. I think I may buy this just to see how it holds up in relation to other da's out there. Does it take the same backing plates as the PC I would assume?

Harbor Freight DA Polisher - New

I also saw the circular today. Are you able to change the backing plates in the polisher?

    350zTT orange peel/swirls/RIDS/water spots

I would say that the results achieved thus far are outstanding. Continue with that method on the rest of the car. It seems to be leaving a nice finish with minimal hazing/micro-marring. Finish up with a finishing polish after the M105 and you should be golden. If you try to go much deeper...

    Poor Boys Spray Gloss

I don't know if I am giving wrong advice or not, but if I am please correct me. If you want to conserve product, I have found a great way. Spray your drying towel rather than the panel. This is what I do and I found it works great, and I use less product. I will do 2 spritz' before I start...

I use this stuff regularly on my vehicle in between waxes. Super easy to use, no smears, super slick finish and a very nice shine. Great stuff.

    Question about compressor.

Does anyone have experience with the Porter Cable 6 gal. pancake air compressor. I just purchased one at a pretty good deal brand new, and want to know if it is going to do the job properly. It will be used for general detail work. Blowing out around mirrors and crevices after washes, blowing...

    It's like christmas in April.

The grit guard will help with convenience also. I have been rinsing the mitt in a rinse bucket after every panel, also rinsing with free flowing water after taken out of the rinse bucket after EVERY panel.

    It's like christmas in April.

I have been using the gold class and the water magnet for a while now. I know it's not a guzzler drying towel or a DI waffle weave. But for the money I have no complaints. And I also have a ton of Menzerna/Blackfire/and Pinnacle products. I just wanted to try things that are available in a...

    It's like christmas in April.

So I received some new products this week. I ordered the Gilmour Foamaster, CG Maxi-Suds II, and the Grit Gaurd. And my fiancee ordered the rest for my early father's day present. I can't wait to finally try it all out. I know the Gilmour doesn't foam like a PW foam lance, but I like it for...
