Product Review: Chemical Guys Blacklight/V07 Combo

Sweet. His review was also the reason I bought it. I usually will wait the 30 mins cure time and top with megs gold class paste or pete's 53 paste. Either one has always produced better than awesome results.

Product Review: Chemical Guys Blacklight/V07 Combo

Just to clear up any doubts that BL is an AIO... I have used it many times. And usually on my car every 3-4 weeks. The first time I used it I didn't believe that it was correcting. So I did an ipa wipedown of a section, and the results stood. It does correct, not just fill. I'm sure it...

    Polish tips

The more you work it with your applicator... The more you will notice it sort of dissapear or break down. Once it starts to break down and dissipate, this is typically when I wipe that area clean. Remember to work in smaller sections. Probably 2x2 foot is a good starting point. You will just...

    Polish tips

Dependent upon your vehicle's paint, you will have to adjust your polisher speed, hand speed and hand pressure if using a machine. It may take several tries to get the perfect finish of your liking. Try taping your hood into sections big enough to test. I will usually do 4 or 6 different...

A day in the life of a detailer. YUCK!!!!!!

I have never used the SC on carpets. But it is a regular when it comes to cleaning the plastics before dressing, and any other general cleaning. I also purchase by the 5 gal. And when you say steamer, could you link me to one. I am not 100% what you are referring to. Thanks again everyone...

A day in the life of a detailer. YUCK!!!!!!

Haha absolutely agree. I was talking to my brother/co-worker, actually I was ranting and raving. I just don't see how someone can feel good about themselves getting in a vehicle taken care of like this. And what about when you have friends/family ride along? Thanks all for the kind words.

A day in the life of a detailer. YUCK!!!!!!

Unfortunately there was no upsell on this vehicle. I would have done it regardless if there wasn't so much time spent on it. And the worry of time invested/profit made weren't there.

A day in the life of a detailer. YUCK!!!!!!

Haha... Unfortunately at this time I don't have a website. I am in the process of one though. It definitely was not fun. Just under 2 hours of vacuuming. And several emptying/refills of the extracter. And it is the large capacity mytee. But don't worry I didn't leave all that water in the...

A day in the life of a detailer. YUCK!!!!!!

The seats are just as bad as the carpets. Cloth, but luckily it is a soft cloth. The kind that usually clean up well. THey will still need to be extracted several times due to beverage and chocolate stains. I will try to remember to post before and afters.

A day in the life of a detailer. YUCK!!!!!!

Imagine everything you would not want to find embedded in a vehicles carpets. This 2006 Ford Freestar had it all. Beach sand, short dog hair, candy, coffee/pop stains. There was a total of 4 hours spent on the carpets alone. I know the plastics are still dirty, but that is because they...

I had to document this one.... & Late Introduction

Great job. This is my favorite era of porsche. And btw, a lot of times those marks can come from your clay bar. Either to aggresive of clay or too much pressure. I have seen it first hand when I first started.

Review: CG Black Light + Wax + V7 on Light paint

As a frequent user of cg bl. This product is best applied by way of a porter cable and lake country black pad. Put the pc on speed 3.5 and make 2 passes with the same hand speed and slightly more pressure than you would if you were apllying wax.

    Tornador Review

Actually come to think of it. Picturing the bottle... It may not be automagic. I want to say a company called technicians choice. I will check tomorrow at work. And I completely agree with your comment about the waxes and polishes. The only wax of theirs that I use is the strawberry wet...

    Tornador Review

As a man that uses the Tornador Black everyday, I figured I would throw my $.02 in. I do not think that they are built as good as they should be for the price. I had to order and return 3 different ones before recieving one that actually worked properly. On the other hand, when they work...

    A short detail/sprucing up.

It really is a miracle product IMO. I actually used it once agin today on a black escape. Absolutely stellar results. Really shines on metallics.

    A short detail/sprucing up.

hmm... I have never had any experience with Duragloss. The only 2 AIO's I have used are Meg's NXT 2.0 and CG BL. And actually I was more than impressed with the NXT 2.0. Doesn't have quite the durability as the BL, but is definitely comparable as far as depth and clarity though.

And thank you for the kind words. I appreciate them.

    A short detail/sprucing up.

I have also used BL as an AIO under paste wax. Pete's 53 and Meg's Gold Class have worked wonders IMO. No bonding or smearing issues. As long as the 30 minute cure time is followed.

    A short detail/sprucing up.

I got the chance to do a 2010 F-150 today. It was requested that it just recieve a brightening up, not a full correction. And an interior "cleaning." The interior was clean when it showed up. So it just recieved a quick Meg's QID wipedown, and some spot removal on the floors. The exterior...
