I'd try a test spot with both processes. See which gives you the best results and which will be easiest to apply (physically) over the whole car.

If I am honest with myself; 2 hours plus for my truck from setup to put away. And, that includes a wheel and tire wash, then a two bucket wash of the truck and then the windows. I usually do the interior less often than a maintenance wash, but add another 45 minutes or so for a proper cleaning...
