I recently just did this to a work truck. I used a heat gun and a plastic razor blade then used 3M adhesive remover and wax and tar remover to loosen the left over glure then buffer with Megs D151.
I was thinking of buying that exact one. to replace my old noisy Husky. The Husky has a larger tanks and is 150 lbs but It so noisy. How is the noise level with these Harbor Freight ones?

The thing that cuts brake fluid is water. Just use water first with an extractor then use a carpet shampooer after that. The only thing you didn't say if it was Silicone Brake fluid that many Vette owners use. That may be a different story.
