Please compare MOHS and CQuartz UK 3.0

I have found that MOHS EVO does extremely well to the reflectivity on white and light colors. It's hard to believe but on pure white it does add something. I can't explain it. Just finished up a Pure White 2023 Cherokee. Will be posting up later.

    Door Sound Proofing

Thermo-Tec isn't cutting corners. It's the real deal. It's used in the building of performance cars to yes, HVAC system because it's also able to handle high temps. It's 8/10 vs Dynamat at far less costs. Used it for years.

    Door Sound Proofing

Look into various HVAC Sound deadening materials. Thermo-Tec is one I've used on firewalls, etc. of hot rods, etc. 8/10 vs products like Dynomat but at a fraction of the cost. I've done a number of my own vehicles with it for a dramatic improvement when done.

Removing the ceramic coating before PPF is applied?

well, I say installation as those areas should be wrapped not cut or pre-cut. I wrap all my rockers and fenders period. One of the key quality differences of a good install vs average is the minimization of exposed edges.

Removing the ceramic coating before PPF is applied?

Thanks for the props. Agree with your statement to go with whatever that particular installer deems comfortable for them. Touchless washes are 100% fine. The water sprayers nor air pressure of the dryer nozzles will harm it. If either do, it's a poor installation.

What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Cleaned up 2 of 4. CRV was trashed and crusty with Ohio salt but cleaned up with ease. Going on 20 months wearing CarPro SiC. Sent from my SM-S908U using Tapatalk

What to do with leftover UK 3.0?

It will keep. Just keep it sealed up lid wise and where it won't get too hot or too cold. Just top off panels over time. Otherwise the options you noted will work too.

    Help......Interior Door Streaks

It's not the same coatings as over leather/pleather, etc. but they are coated. It's a clear layer bonded to top. When I did my IICRC certifications they had a representative from Piedmont plastics a leader in the supply chain and he went over it. It's why you'll often see older door panels...

    Help......Interior Door Streaks

Not sure WHY they do this but GM's are known to have potential issues with certain products. I've seen it posted about for years and years. IMO it's not likely just GM but perhaps their supplier and the products they use. Interior surfaces including the door panels all have a clear coat...

What did you do today non-detailing related?

Played with an early Christmas Gift as my wife and kids knew I was anxious to try a new-to-me method like this. Glarlic and Herb Pork Tenderloin. Came out super juicy and on-point taste wise.

    Dont make my mistake

Ouch. The white pads are the most aggressive yet still safe from scratching glass. They will remove waterspots safely and last longer than 0000 steel wool as they are also prone to rusting and flaking off dangerous bits that can then get caught in a drying cloth or polishing pad (wouldn't...

Ceramic Coat it and then use a basic detailer like 3D's Bead it Up weekly. When you decon it at 6mos, put on GYEON CanCoat EVO if needed as solid 12-18mo booster to the original ceramic. Done.

    DEBRIS when -blow drying- car

Nope. Not an issue unless you live on a gravel drive or a farm, etc. Leaf blower moves more air and IMO works great. No issues. Don't over think things and stress out. However, at the end of the day it's your money and time if a Metro is what you want.

    Home Carpet Extracter/Cleaner

Use a separate sprayer/applicator. The only product in the machine is hot water with a corresponding rinse agent that will match up with the pH of said cleaning solution. Rinse agents tend to be around a pH of 3 or 4 to counter most upholstery products at a pH of 9 to 9.5

    Home Carpet Extracter/Cleaner

The key to your decision is the limitation with one 15amp cord. You won't find a commercial-grade portable (vs truck mount system) that's capable of driving a wand and a multi-jet carpet tool unit like what you'll see being driven from a truck or a typical commercial company like that without...
