    Griot's Garage G15/G21 Long-Throw Orbital Polisher *Ground-Up Redesign*

I wonder if this design failure has anything to do with the rough ride? If they tested it and were not satisfied, why did they release it at all? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

NEWS FLASH!!!!! The new FLEX XCE 10-8 125 Corded Polisher is NOW IN STOCK!

I may be the oddball here, but I’ve tried both the Makita and Mille. I still find the 3401 to walk LESS. It’s easier to CONTROL. Maybe I’m just used to the 3401. While the 5mm has less VIBRATION, the smaller orbit will want to twist and turn the pad more, meaning more fighting. The 5mm throws...

Rupes LHR 15 Mark III - pad and speed

Rupes recommendation is correcting/polishing at speed 4, generally speaking. You may increase speed on concaves or if the surface is grabby and not allowing proper rotation. Use Rupes pads. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Review: RUPES BIGFOOT MILLE LK 900E by Mike Phillips

This is true. When stated RPM to RPM power, I was referring to the Makita and Mille because of their same orbit diameter. Does the higher RPM of the Makita make up for the lower OPM and orbits per revolution? [emoji2371] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Review: RUPES BIGFOOT MILLE LK 900E by Mike Phillips

RPM for RPM, the Mille is the most powerful. It has the highest orbit per revolution and OPM’s. It has almost double the orbits per revolution than the Makita. According to Todd Helme, correcting on a forced DA is best from 430 RPM - 490 RPM. So, the higher RPM of the Makita may actually go...

    Griot's Garage G15/G21 Long-Throw Orbital Polisher *Ground-Up Redesign*

Well, got some more seat time with the new G21. I ended up sending it back to Griots. It’s powerful, but the more I used it, it’s just wasn’t as smooth as I expected. Polisher also got very warm. A step down from the BOSS G21. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Should I upgrade to a Flex 3401?

Black paint makes hazing more noticeable, hence, why I mentioned the color. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Mike Phillips is right...

I’ve been really enjoying my Rupes MK III 15. Soooo smooooth when using Rupes pads! I decided to take my 3401 out of hibernation for my 1-step detail today. When Mike says the 3401 will POWER through a detail, he is absolutely right. No need to focus on pad stall, just polish. When using my 15...

    Should I upgrade to a Flex 3401?

Depends on your definition of a quality finish. A random orbital will definitely finish better on softer paint systems. This is a fact. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Should I upgrade to a Flex 3401?

Forced driven DA's will not finish as well as random orbitals, especially on soft black paint.

Which Flex Polisher (Beast or C-Beast) ???

I thought about the C-Beast, but decided against it. Most cars I do are heavily swirled and for that kind of money of the C-Beast, I’m just guessing it doesn’t have quite what I need to be efficient. Personal cars, I think it’d be great. I’m interested in the Supa Beast, however. Sent from my...

    Griot's Garage G15/G21 Long-Throw Orbital Polisher *Ground-Up Redesign*

I got a chance to try my new G21. Man, this thing is powerful!!! Really don’t see any need to use over speed 3, for the most part. Speed 2 is even useable. Build quality is legit. It’s not as smooth and vibration free as the Rupes. I really think the Griots long throws are tuned for THEIR pads...

My new favorite one step polish!

Hey Jim, thanks for the explanation. It does make sense. I have the 3401, 3D One, and white force pads. I will give this combo a shot. [emoji1360] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

My new favorite one step polish!

Hey Jim, you would still use a white pad as a 1 step on hard paint? I definitely vary pad choice according to hardness for a 1 step. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
