What the heck did the dealer spray on my car

PAINT overspray should be limited to inside the paint booth. Does look to be overspray of some sort, but doubt it was paint.

What the heck did the dealer spray on my car

In general, I like Precoat a lot as well.

    Hey Mike Phillips...

Thanks! I don’t think that’s available OTC anymore, unfortunately. I’m working on the car tomorrow. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Hey Mike Phillips...

Fantastic answer as usual, hence, why I asked you. The thought of SS paint crossed my mind. I’m not sure, but I have a feeling it is. I like the idea of quickly hitting it with my clay towel after washing, as there will be that much less residue to build up on the pad. Funny you mentioned those...

Chemical Guys 15mm DA vs Max Shine 15mm

From what I've read from some users, the G15 seems to be lacking in pad spinning torque.

    Hey Mike Phillips...

Happy New Year! I have a 2010 White Toyota Corolla this weekend. It has not been driven much, but sat outside most of the time. Never been detailed. It's oxidized for sure, could barely see my inspection light in the paint. It's a "for sale" detail. Question, after a good wash and iron...

    Rupes Mille

I IS a smooth machine, in that there's very little vibration. HOWEVER, I still feel it will try to walk on you MORE than the 8mm 3401.

    Rupes Mille

No problem, Mark. The Super Beast supposedly fixes the heat issue of the 3401. Different ergonomics as well, and more convenient backing plates sizes. Yes, it’s counterclockwise just like the VRG. After trying the clockwise gear driven polishers, I saw not benefits. Again, just my opinion...

    Rupes Mille

You got it, Mark. I'm Mark as well. Gear driven polishers are fantastic because you NEVER have to worry about pad stall. However, the polishing experience is not nearly as enjoyable as a free spinning DA. Remember, this is my opinion, but there's many others that will agree with me as well, and...

Foam Pad Options for the Griots G9 Polisher

The HDO, Uro-Tec and Rupes pads all work well on the G9.

    Rupes Mille

Stroke size or speed has nothing to do with jerking you around. It's the gear driven action that dictates jerking around. Any free spinning DA will have less pull than any gear driven polisher. I bought the Mille, their pads, polishes and ended up selling it. Didn't like it. If I had to go gear...

    Rupes Mille

I'm not a fan of these shorter stroke gear driven polishers. While they vibrate less than a Flex 3401, they will jerk you around worse. Strange, I know, but this is my opinion. Mark III 15 all day long. Learn the correct technique and it won't stall(within reason). With a long throw, you DO need...

    Griot's Garage G-9 vs. Porter Cable 7424XP

Shouldn’t even be compared. The G9 is far superior in every way. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

And then... There was a G8 (Polisher)

I noticed this today too!!! Feels as though the motor is skipping and bumping. Very prevalent. It does not do this on speed 4, 5, or 6. Only speeds 1-3. Calling Griots the next day they are open. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

IGL Precoat contains IPA. Look at the SDS on their site.

And then... There was a G8 (Polisher)

Got my G8. Very nice polisher. Smooth. Power is good on speed 5(mainly use). Speed 6 spins the pad very fast. Speed 4 is OK(stalls somewhat easy). Anything below that is useless. I love using the Rupes 3.75” and 2.5” foam pads. The Rupes wool pads would probably work nice, too. I used the G8 and...
