Welcome to the forum. If I understand it correctly, the touch less car washes use a strong soap. Not only to make sure that your vehicle gets clean but while doing so the the wax slowly gets stripped off. Much like ya wouldn't want to put a strong detergent in the family's washing machine...

I've been keeping an eye out for his Corvette while driving around. He lives a few towns South from me.

CLR worked great on my DIL's black Toyota when drips of concrete was dripping on the car while she was parking in a garage in Boston for a few days. (She was wondering why those parking spots were always available, ha.)

How about a car cover? I mean the good ones in which water does not soak through onto the car. Good ones can be expensive. :xyxthumbs:

I just clean as much sealant as I can out of my pads. Then use them only for sealants in the future.
