    Kudos to AG!

Thanks, Penny! She was great. In theory, I didn't have to say a thing, it was taken care of before I even spoke to her. She even called to let me know it was taken care of. :dblthumb2:

    Kudos to AG!

Got an order delivered to me today. I open up the box, and a 16 oz. bottle of 303 Aerospace opened up and leaked half of it into the box, and all over the paper. I took a few photos. They were useless because I called and left a message for Penny and she sent me a new bottle immediately. I...

    Steel wool?

Particular metals it will scratch. Uncoated aluminum will scratch, but it can be taken out...it's just a pain. Chrome doesn't scratch as long as you have a polish as well. I typically only use it on chrome. If you're dealing with any uncoated metal...it's not a great idea. But, I have...

Attn: those that detail with pressure washers...

I forget what psi my pressure washer is. But, it's a beast, ha. Probably around 2000 or so I would think, maybe a bit more of capability. You don't need too much pressure for the foam cannon. I don't want to recommend a particular psi, cause I don't want to steer you wrong. But, I would...

The Uber expensive waxes...what are they REALLY?

What exactly is the argument here? That coatings claiming to be permanent, are not actually permanent? If that is the argument. I think just about anything claiming to be permanent, is usually taken with a grain of salt. At least that's how I take it. There's no actual permanent coating for...

The Uber expensive waxes...what are they REALLY?

I personally feel any wax is limited no matter what the cost. Because, well...it's wax. Unless polymers and other man made protectants have been added...it's just carnuba for the most part. I'm no scientist, nor do I know a ton about the ingredients that really make up a wax. But...

Going to take a little work but decent shop.

So much potential, man! I could easily see that turning into a nice little shop. Especially for a one man operation...it's perfect. Hell, you got an office/waiting area, storage space, visibility, useable left overs, looks really clean on the outside...score if you ask me! Get a fire permit...

    Road paint !!

I've taken off tons of road paint. If it's all up in the wheel well...just spray undercoating and cover it up. You'll never get the wheel well back to normal. I usually try steam first. If it's on any plastic pieces...steam will usually get it off with a little agitation. For the painted...

Why do i constantly get Holograms when polishing?

It's pretty common to have holograms or some sort of haze following compound. If you're getting holograms after polishing...that's a different story. You should be cleaning up any holograms (if any) during the polishing stage. If you are getting holograms after polishing...I would narrow it...

Any FullTime Detailers actually use the Cyclo Polisher as their main DA?

You may have convinced me to buy one. I don't need it...but, I don't really need half the stuff I buy anyways, haha. :dblthumb2:

Any FullTime Detailers actually use the Cyclo Polisher as their main DA?

You should message B & B. I know for a fact he uses the hell out of the cyclo. He would probably have some good info for you.

    Extractor: How important is heat?

I agree with you. The Aztec does get hotter. But, the psi is a killer for me. I feel like it's a trickle compared to the Mytee. I'd rather have my machine be few degrees cooler than have less psi. I find it time consuming to use the Aztec. Any thoughts on some bigger models? I'd really...

bad habits or practices we know are bad but do anyway

My stupid ass will from time to time dump some water on the hood just to test the beading, ha. I actually go through the trouble to air hose, then wipe it dry. No clue why...just looks cool. I've done it in front of customers. They seem to get a kick out of it, ha. Also, SO many times...I...

Will this buff out of my matte vinyl stripes?

Definitely don't want to attempt to buff it out. If you polish it...say goodbye to a matte finish. Like others said, some cleaner is your best bet. You also may be able to mask it with a trim product like UTTG. Spread it on the whole stripe. It will blend everything together, then wipe it...
