Natural Look vs "Glassy" Look -- Which do YOU prefer?

Glassy no doubt. CQUK looks amazing. Just jaw dropping. It darkens the paint so it adds a rich depth, but has a glassy coating look which I love

    Are yellow pads still used?

I like yellow pads! I've used them when I didn't want to deal MF pads.

15 hours of my Audi S5

Thanks guys :) The car went from being a 6 footer (swirls were easily seen) to a 2 footer. The paint is almost perfect, but there are RIDS that I just didn't care to spend the time on. I would of had to of broken out the wool which I didn't have on hand, most aggressive was MF pads... or I...

    Optimum Opti-Bond Tire Gel... meh

^^ Application is key. You can get sling from water-based dressings, and if applied correctly, you can avoid sling with oil based dressings. If you cake it on and drive right after - sure, you'll get sling. I have yet to get it... but thats becuase I apply sparingly and work it into the...

    Optimum Opti-Bond Tire Gel... meh

I've never had a problem with sling & Meguiars Endurance. Those that have must be over applying or not letting it soak in long enough.

    Optimum Opti-Bond Tire Gel... meh

Yes, of course after a wash. Swanicyouth - FWIW IME there is a marked difference between oil & water based tire dressings. Meguiars Endurance tire gel would last a few rains and still have a nice satin look. Opti-Bond IME is all but gone after 1 drive through rain...

    Optimum Opti-Bond Tire Gel... meh

Before I understood there was a difference between oil vs. water based tire gel's, I bought Optimum Opti-Bond based on the great reviews. I've applied this about 5 times so far and Im done with it. This stuff doesn't last a single drive through rain. Very dissapointing. It looks good going...

    2 bucket...1 bucket too many

Nothing mind blowing here... this method is often applied to ONR washes. For traditional washes, I prefer one wash medium and two buckets.

If its true that maintenance polishing is recommended...then

If you use even a very fine polish like SF4000 or M205 - your going to strip the coating, plain and simple. You cannot "correct" a coating. You can "maintain" a coating by regular washes and using a topper like Reload...
