    Need advice on PW hose

just got my kobrajet blue hose. Wow, you're not kidding about needing two big wrenches to remove the QC. I tried with mine and it didn't budge it. Luckily, my neighbor had two monster crescent wrenches and that did the job to bust it free from the thread locker. Thanks for the tip as I would...

    Need advice on PW hose

Is the gray Kobrajet stiffer than the smooth blue version? Several years ago my research said to get single wire coil vs double wire coil as it was more flexible and the electric PWs don't require as heavy duty of a hose. How do you like the Active 2.3? I have the old VE51 and it churns out 1.8...

    Need advice on PW hose

Thanks for the writeup and pics to help me better understand the fix you mentioned. Never knew that about about crazy glue and baking soda. The things I learn on this forum! Glad to hear they include the other sized orifice so they work better with electric PWs. Most of the cheap ones don't...

    Need advice on PW hose

I It gets a little crazy when you start trying to make incremental improvements. I noticed a bit of a difference on my SunJoe PW, but it was a cheap way to experiment so it was worth it. I really noticed the difference on my Active ( I have the older 1.0) which has much better GPM specs. For...

    Need advice on PW hose

Hey Eldo! more water volume. Not concerned with high pressure. I have Active PW hooked up and my priority is water volume....3/8 gives me a bit more ( or so I have always thought ) . With a good single wire hose you greatly minimize the stiffness normally associated with them. I also have 4.0...

@BudgetPlan1 - great info. Exactly what I was looking for. Smooth blue looks like the one. Thanks again for taking time to share the info.

    Need advice on PW hose

@BudgetPlan1 - thanks for the reply. So it sounds like these KobraJets are still pretty pliable and kink resistant then? Good idea to get the ones with QC's on each end. Saves me transferring it from my other hose. Does one of the ends still have the NPT fitting that swivels to make it easier...

    Need advice on PW hose

Could use some help sourcing a PW hose. I need to increase to 75' or 100'. Hose is currently on Cox reel with a wall mounted PW setup. Here's what I'm looking for: - 3/8" - The old Kobrajet Blue non marking hoses were great. I think they were single wire vs double wire and had NTP fittings. OG...

It will be interesting to get feedback on the Vietnam produced HD Speed once someone tries it out. Speed has been in my arsenal since it was introduced.

What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

It's funny how you lose track of time with products like these. I just did a search on this forum and there was a member by name of Akimel (anyone remember him?) who had called the company and was told it was discontinued. That was May of 2010!!! I'm really starting to feel old now! I have been...

What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

At least 10 yrs or more I believe, and nope EngineKote was a different product. I remember when they announced they were discontinuing it a lot of people on this forum raided whatever stock they could find. In my case, a nearby store had it on clearance for $4/can so I bought a bunch...

What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Gave my FJ's engine bay some love. After a thorough cleaning, I found some old cans of CD2 Engine Detailer I had laying around so decided to use it vs HyperDressing this time as it's been years since I've used this product. Forgot how nice and durable the finish is after driving it around for...

That's a bummer Dave. Sorry that happened to your FJ.

What's sad is these FJ's were built to be out on the trails and at the same time have very good street manners. Too bad this will probably sit in someone's garage so it never gets dirty or puts miles on it.

Here in the states the Trail Teams edition had the matching color roofs, along with some other off road upgrades. All others had the white roofs people associate with the FJ. The all red model over here was the 2012 Trail Teams Edition. Mine is a 2013 and that year they introduced the Cement...

The only FJ's that came with the body colored roofs were the Trail Teams Editions. Each year, FJ would create this limited production model with upgraded suspension, wheels, badging, etc. All other FJ's had the white roofs.

nice looking FJ you have there, especially with your mods. Mine's a 2013 Trail Teams edition in Cement Gray. 70k miles. I found out on my 1,000 trip home that I don't get great gas mileage going 80-85 with a lifted vehicle, oversized tires and a light rack on the roof! Here's a few more...

thanks. I really like the look of these too. They're TRD 16" that came on the Trail Teams edition that year. I'm running BFG 285/75/16 KO2's on them right now.
