Hopefully the PDR guy can take care of youAnd the damage, not really that much, one biggish one and a few small ones, all on the roof, none on the hood or sides. I can only think the slight dome shape of the hood protected it. But certainly less than it sounded like I was going to have. I had to take these shots with my big camera as the phone just couldn't focus on them.

I'm not sure I'm even going to fix it, white just doesn't show reflections well, I had to move it inside and use the strip lights to show up the damage. In daylight they're almost impossible to see, also you have to climb up to see the top of the roof anyway. Next wash I'll have a better look, but I think I'll be leaving it for the moment. The PDR guys are going to be busy for a while anyway, there would have to be a few thousand cars damaged.Hopefully the PDR guy can take care of you

I have what we call full comprehensive insurance, but I'd still have to pay $800, what we call an excess, which I believe is a deductible over there, and they'd probably put up my premium the next time around.
I took this shot outside this afternoon, there was some rain, but this was standing on the back bumper so I could see the whole roof, I couldn't actually see any of the damage. I edited to improve clarity and contrast.

I found these shots I took on my last trip to Tasmania back in 2018, it was just after the Targa Tasmania had finished. The first was taken in Hobart where I was staying, the other two in Devonport while I was waiting to get back on the boat for the mainland. I love the Gulf and Martini racing colours, and the other was Jim Richards car, a touring car legend.

People raced all sorts of things in the Targa, across the road from the 930 is a Mitsubishi Sigma, a basic sedan based on the Japanese Galant, it could be had with either a 2.0 or 2.6 I4, sold in the early 80s.Dave...THANK YOU

Notice I said raced, it's basically finished now. They had 2 fatalities in 2021 and another 2 in 2022, so it didn't happen last year, and is very unlikely this year. It's such a shame.

I do like the Carrera Classic wheels as well, a bit subdued but a nice mix of polished inserts in the spokes and metallic grey paint. They’re currently my ‘winter wheels’ as in nicer weather I switch to HRE’s that a friend gave me when he sold his Spyder.I'd like to add I love those rims too, Porsche nailed that design
