    Really dirty wheel cleaner?

Before: After: Sonax didn't touch it, and PB's wasn't doing much. Got the results with Meg's WB @ 3:1. I don't ever buy any other wheel cleaner. DLB

Small Guide: How to set prices when starting a detailing business - TLC Auto Detail

Fantastic Dave. Well written, and thank you for the time involved to help others. You and I have discussed some of this before. My market is one of the never gonna get a $1000 correction job. It is a little disappointing at times knowing what others are getting, but I do understand where my...

at what point in your detail do you wash your wheels?

I have yet to see a wheel well that you couldn't fit some kind of brush into. If no other will fit, the Daytona will. But, on 90% or better of vehicles, I use one of these: Mothers Fender Well Brush cleans wheel wells beneath the car's fenders. Fender Well Brush has a long handle to scrub...

can someone link me to a spray bottle that holds up to poorboys wheel cleaner?

I haven't found one. Outside of the standard ones, I tried one of the Spray Master heads and it died. I don't care enough to spend any more than about $5 on one, so with it, IronX and Meg's WB I just rinse out my sprayers every time with water. DLB

Simple way to clean car mats ??

While I don't doubt at all that your results were great, there is a little more front end work than would be necessary in my opinion. I have cleaned hundreds of mats this way: •Pull them out of the car •Beat the loose dirt out with my hand •Pressure wash them until you rinse clean •Use APC or...

    Washing micro fiber Q??????????????

That's what I do. I use Micro-Restore and pour it right in on top of the towels. As far as leaving a residue; I usually try to time my towel washings apart enough to where it is time for our washing machine to do its self cleaning cycle. Can't always achieve that due to not having that many...

    Optimum MF system almost here!

Awesome to see this getting close. I have needed several new pads for a while now, but have postponed it waiting for the release of these. While I know you have to use different pads on different paints, I do plan on getting a process with these for most of mine. Looking forward to the...

    Extra gloss for white color.

Instead of the Speed Glaze I would have opted for a paint cleaner. White is almost always "stained" to some extent. In actuality it is not the white, but the clear on top of the white, but it is usually dirty. I have to recommend Pinnacle Paintwork Cleansing Lotion. It is a great product...

    Removing scuffs from plastic

+1 on the Magic Eraser and All Purpose Cleaner. If you are looking for a local APC to try prior to buying Meg's APC+ or Optimum Power Clean (my two faves) try LA Totally Awesome cleaner. It is commonly available at Dollar General I believe. DLB

    Scissor Lift for garage

A friend of mine has one of these he is selling: Ben Pearson BP6000MR Mid Rise Lift I want to buy it, but can't justify the expense at the moment. It is a great little lift though. But I would check the Ben Pearson's out too, as it has served him well the minimal amount he has used it. DLB

    Post your Everyday Carry

I can certainly understand and respect your commentary here. There are without question mass numbers of the population (even here in the US) that I feel should never have possession of a firearm - there are several in my family! I also think however that the citizens who are suited for...

    Post your Everyday Carry

Yes. Have you ever thought that crime could be so high because everyone is an easy target for the criminals? Do the criminals have guns, even though it is illegal? Well, then they ALWAYS have the upper hand over any true law abiding citizen, and they know it. A little light reading...

To go METRO VAC or NO?

I have the full size Metro Vac N Blo Sr. I also have a Shop Vac. The Shop Vac has more rated HP, but that's not the tell tell on vacuums. The Metro is what I always go to for getting a vehicle really clean. It is a very nice vac. However, it isn't for wet use. The blowing...I would have...
