Ceramic Coating for Single Stage Paint

Thanks Bob. I have read this article by Mike but forgive my ignorance…. Would a 1995 Factory Original paint qualify as a Modern Urethane Single Stage Paint ? Is there a roughly defined period when Old Fashioned Single Stage transitioned to a Modern Urathane SSP ? Thanks

Black Porsche 944 Turbo - Paint Correction

Thanks for the kudos guys. The owner was indeed very happy with the car. A few months later he swapped the engine of the car to a Corvette V8 and then a few months later he sold the car. Not sure what the car looks nowadays or even where it is. I have corrected other cars after this one, but...

    Most Cut / Best Finish

I really like the FG 400 and it does finish well on hard clear coats, but Nissan clear coats have a reputation of being soft and with a black color on the background it could be challenging. The work on the Cayenne is amazing but the clear coat on that Caynenne is probably much harder.

Opticoat 2.0 discontinued, OptiCoat Pro sees price increase

I might not post a lot, but I do read a lot... So FWIW... why someone from Optimum or Dr. G himself has not made an effort to address all the concerns and answer most of the questions that all the detailers (Full Time Pros, Part Time Enthusiasts, Hobbyists etc) have after such a drastic...

Ceriglass, carpro rayon glass pad and rotary = swirled scratches

I have corrected my windshield with Ceriglass and the LC Glass polishing pads. The Rayon / Glass Cutting pads were too hard and were scratching the glass instead. You might be able to get away with it just using a foam cutting pad but I kind of doubt it. Here is the write up that I did...
