i am in the process of trying to polish out micro marring scratches on my new 2010 subaru outback. these scratches are horizontal. many of them run the length of the entire car. (from dealer wash, wipe, whatever...) The scratches are painfully visible in the sunlight, however i cannot seem to...

the touch free laser wash has an overhead blower that dries the car nicely, so nothing touches it, thankfully! what is ONR? forgive me for asking, i am new. i dont know much of the lingo yet.

i've been reading how people have introduced new scratches when hand washing their cars- even when being especially careful with technique, etc. I have always used the 'touch-free laser' carwash in my area. Isn't that the safest thing to use? i had a black shiny 07 camry and always ran it...

cee dog, the first 2 pics are misleading- i fooled around with the contrast and it makes the very fine lines look deep. i ordered a fluorescent work light yesterday so i can really see what i am working with. i will surely take your helpful advice into consideration! thanks again

these are the best pics i could get today. the pics dont show much but if you look closely, you can see. lines are on the whole car.

what is the best way to take the most clear paint pictures with detail? i tried to get a few in the sun but the camera is not picking up the scratches. is it best at night with a halogen lamp?

i have a new porter cable 7424 with the grey/black lake Country pad. i just didnt want to go too strong as it is a new car, and i have never done this before. i did pretty well today on the jeep, after watching a few how- to videos. i guess if the 106fa has a bit more cut i could try that...

is there a significant difference between menzerna PO 106fa and PO 85rd? i have the 85rd but practiced on husband's 07 jeep cherokee, and didnt notice much improvement. i have a brand new subaru outback 2010 that has micro marring horizontal lines all over from being washed/wiped/brushed on...
