i am in the process of trying to polish out micro marring scratches on my new 2010 subaru outback. these scratches are horizontal. many of them run the length of the entire car. (from dealer wash, wipe, whatever...) The scratches are painfully visible in the sunlight, however i cannot seem to get good light on them to view them in the shade or at night. i have tried the powerful halogen work lamps and i just bought a fluorescent lamp and i can see no scratches when using those lights. i tried all sorts of angles. is there a better way? it is the most frusterating thing....

I'll tell ya, I have a very small one-car garage so I have no room for big halogen lamps. I was able to get my Camaro (which is black) swirl free with a show car finish. The only light I used were my Brinkmann's. I have two of them, when one was in use the other was charging. Defects can't hide from the Brinkmann. I believe Mike Phillips once called that light "the cruel master" and he's spot on with that because it will reveal every flaw in the paint. Give it a shot, I think they're only $27.99.
