Dr. G's Recipe For Shiny Paint - Optimum GPS

I found the results quite good using GPS and am a fan of the Optimum line but the nozzle did clog on mine to the point that I had to pour into another spray bottle to use up. Needs to be shaken not stirred!

    Two accidents in Two days

Well I wouldn't get another Miata. My son about two years ago "tapped" the bumper of a Miata that stopped suddenly when traffic was going a few miles an hour. He has a Saab 9-2 and had a 1/2 scratch on his front bumper. Miata cost $925 to get fixed. POS!

Pictures & Comments from January 29th Detailing 101 Class

I attended the Saturday class with Mike and my fellow students and had a great time both learning new techniques and refining old. Mike is very patient with all and believe it showed with the results of our test subject car. The opportunity to try all the various machines out on the market was...

    SEMA Picture Galley

One word. WOW. The paint jobs are unbelievable and what imagination to come up with some of these designs on both the cars and bikes. Great job. Thanks

Got the Flex, PC 4" or Griots 3" for 2nd ?

I recently purchased the 3" Griots from AG after using the 6". I really wanted a separate machine without having to change out backing plates. I was pleasantly surprised how effective it was on smaller areas. I just finished my friends Carerra4 S which has a good set of louvers and small panels...

Got a chance to play with the Griots DA for a while....

Received my Griot's about a month ago and to date thrilled with it. Only things I would change if I could would probably go with the longer cord rather than an extension cord and on the next redesign they should move the speed control to a more accesible place. It seems when I check the speed...

    My Comments

Hi Bobby, Guess I must be ancient at 61 but feel the same way. Always loved my cars but other than a wash and occasional wax never went to overboard. Well due to a series of medical problems, I have a load of time to work on my babies and my wife is sort of getting used to the UPS deliveries...

    Griot's 3" buffer

Having received and happily used the Griot's 6" buffer I'm looking at the 3". I know I can change out the backing plate and go down to 4" but for the price would prefer a separate machine. Getting in around spoilers and frames has me using a pad and I would prefer to automate. Anyone using...

    Application of Carnuba wax

Thanks for the replies. I also just ordered a rolling set which should really help. As for the P21S carnuba I have yet to use another wax with a better shine on my silver boxster. Anxious to try out the Wolfgang Fusion wit the buffer. It smells nice hope it shines just as good. Burt

    Application of Carnuba wax

Received a Griot's buffer for fathers day and having a ball with it. However I have a full jar of P21S and Wolfgangs Fuzion from my last purchase. Can these be used as I do with liquid products with the machine or do they have to be hand applied. For me it's an issue due to back problems and...

    GGROP quit working (moved)

You guys have me on the fence. I'm between the Griots package that includes the 6 and 3" buffers and the Flex sc3401. Lifetime guarantees are great but not if you have to keep using it. It's like the scene from Tommy Boy that says you can have a guaranty on a box but crap is crap. Oh well more...

    Newbie form NY and Florida

Hi all, I've been buying form Autogeek for some time but just now joined the forums. Love pampering my Boxster and BMW and always looking for new suggestions on products and techniques. As noted above I live in NY but last year purchased a winter home in Boynton Beach so I intend on hitting some...
