I never put much thought into how to wash rubber mats. I take them out of the car, shake them off, spray with 10:1 Meguiar's APC+, run a brush over them, rinse, air dry. My wife has OEM rubber mats in her vehicle and I have some generic ones in mine. This method works on both. Keep it simple.
