Just wondering if I can use Tuff Shine Tire Cleaner on the matts? Or should I use an APC like Simple Green?

Do you have a DA? I bought a carpet brush and attached that to the DA and used an automotive all purpose cleaner, and it got them like brand new.

I would keep simple green away from any interior component of the car.

A saw this trick on here this winter. Get a 5 gal bucket filled almost all the way with Hot water and then use a rinseless wash solution. Roll them up, dip in hot water, wash.....turn and to what you can't with the first dip...take out and let dry.

I never put much thought into how to wash rubber mats. I take them out of the car, shake them off, spray with 10:1 Meguiar's APC+, run a brush over them, rinse, air dry.

My wife has OEM rubber mats in her vehicle and I have some generic ones in mine. This method works on both. Keep it simple.

Similar to what was already posted: I spray the rubber mats down with a 10:1 solution of Meguiars D103 All Purpose Cleaner Plus, and then hit them with drill mounted Chemical Guys ACC 201 carpet brush. I then rinse with a strong stream of water. Repeat if necessary. Works like a charm:xyxthumbs:
