Do you think it makes sense to reapply a coating without polishing as long as the (formerly) coated wheels are visually clean? I know that's not ideal, but it would easily save 3+ hours of tedious wheel polishing and provide some additional protection.

In theory, but I recently detailed a set of opticoated wheels that were very stubborn. I spent about 35-40 minutes on the first wheel with a diluted APC, but resorted to a wheel cleaner for the other three.

Get a load of Rockefeller Mcmoneybags over here. Those things are THIRTY NINE DOLLARS EACH. The towels I use to dry myself didn't cost that much. I have ONE and it sits as the crown jewel of my towel collection. I don't even use it on cheap vehicles, only the nice ones.

Is there a more aggressive method we can use to compound before refining with ceriglass? Maybe a straight cerium oxide slurry and the griots pads? Trying to correct a really scratched up windshield is so time intensive with just ceriglass and ray-on pads.

Is there any difference in the quality of steam between units (i.e. is the expensive one hotter?) or only the quantity of steam and additional attachment features?
