    Ultimate Quik Wax vs. D156

Good point out - I do not think I shook up the gallon bottle of D156...but I will try it!

    Ultimate Quik Wax vs. D156

Are we SURE that these two are the same product with different packaging and smell? I used UQW and thought it was the best after wash spray on product I've ever used - hides alot of very fine circular scratches...so I bought D156 and did not notice the same filling ability. I've got a gallon...

Black 2002 Camaro - products you would use

I've got a black 2002 Camaro - it's in pretty good shape, not great. I attached a couple of pictures...it has a major tendency toward swirl marks - not holograms, but the circular "I wash my car with Dawn dish liquid and bath towels" kind of marks. All black plastic is faded to a grey-ish...

    Ode to Aquawax!

I love AquaWax...but Ultimate Quik Wax knocked it out of my regular routine last year - on my black Camaro, the Quik Wax actually covers swirl marks and makes the paint look deep.

instant detailer/spray wax that hides swirls

No big deal yakky...I take all replies as an attempt to help. I've used Optimum polishes to get the mark free state - best was Optimum Hyper Spray Polish, but I've gotten the same result with the Optimum non-spray polishes. Had it looking good at one point with the Meguiars 105/205...

instant detailer/spray wax that hides swirls

Yeah that's the same place I'm coming from. I tried and just don't think it can be done. I'll keep it from looking bad, but in between polishings, something that makes it look nicer is very welcomed.

instant detailer/spray wax that hides swirls

I don't blow dry - tried a leaf blower and it just didn't work. Guess I could spend a couple of hundred on a Metro. I looked up Hydro and it looks interesting...

instant detailer/spray wax that hides swirls

It's not a daily driver, but it isn't a garage queen. I'm not a professional detailer, just a guy that likes having one of his cars look sharp. Zymol Spray Glaze...not sure what you mean as far as "pain to use" - if that means it gets all streaky and doesn't come off easy, that probably...

instant detailer/spray wax that hides swirls

I've tried alot to keep the swirls from coming back - my car doesn't look like it was run through an automatic car wash, but I get it perfect with polishing and then after a few washes I see new light scratches. I use a Race Glaze wash mitt, two buckets, a foam shooter (not the one that hooks...

instant detailer/spray wax that hides swirls

I've tried ALOT of instant detailers and spray waxes...none of them hide swirl marks on my black Camaro - except for Meguiars Ultimate Qwik Wax and (to a much lesser extent) Poorboys QD+. Basically I've lost the battle with swirls and I'm tired of the cycle (polish and it looks great...wash a...

    Optimum Poli-Seal question

I'll pick up a few green pads tomorrow and I'll try it this weekend. I didn't do a "cutting" step before using the Poli-Seal...the reason the Poli-Seal was recommended to me was that I just wanted the wash-induced scratches gone - wasn't worried about any of the deep stuff (there are so few...

Optimum Duo : How does it rate?

I've used the Hyper Spray Polish on a black Camaro SS with a white LC pad and had what I think were fantastic results (the result from just using this was better than using the Meguiars Ultimate Polish and Meguiars 205.) I was super impressed. Wasn't impressed with the sprayer...just kinda...

    Optimum Poli-Seal question

Both white and orange pads are Lake Country (the regular flat pads.) 5.5 inches. I think the only one they make in between the orange and the white is the green...so it goes orange, green, white, black, blue (in agressiveness in decending order.) So is your recommendation going to be trying...

    Optimum Poli-Seal question

My black 2002 camaro ss gets fine scratched no matter how I maintain it, so I went looking for a one step product. Optimums poli seal was recommended and I was told I could use a white pad or an orange pad (if necessary.) I got very little correction of the fine scratches with the white pad...

CG air fresheners "last weeks not days"?

When Febreze comes out with a product that smells like a strip club or a new car, I'll be all over it

CG air fresheners "last weeks not days"?

CG air fresheners are the best smelling AND most economical air fresheners I've ever used. Stripper Scent is fantastic and New Car Scent, which might not smell exactly like new car, smells great. Problem is, my experience is that while they say they last "weeks not days," they last "hours not...

    dust

I put Element 119 on the nose of my black car...didn't look any better or worse than any other last step product I've used...and dirt and dust accumulated to the same degree that they did with any other last step product. There was supposed to be scratch/swirl resistance, but my hood now has...

    dust

I wash my black car weekly (hose wash) and faithfully put some kind of wax or sealant on it (probably once a month.) I get, at max, one day before the car is noticeably covered with dust/light dirt particles. And if there is dew in the morning that mixes the dust up and makes the car look...

    Rarley wash-use Ultima Waterless Concentrate

    - I'm pretty sure that everytime I've done a waterless wash I've created a bunch of very fine little scratches. And it doesn't make sense to me how it's possible to NOT get more scratching with a waterless wash as opposed to a hose wash - with the hose wash you're hitting it with water and...

Optimum Hyper Spray Polish (new formula)

The cleaner that comes with the Element 119 product is supposed to strip waxes and fillers...and I *think* the paint was clear after the wipedown unless my eyes were playing tricks on me (I'm an accountant, so I don't have the eye like you guys have.) I only did the nose today, so I'll be...
